its the corruption that does not allow us to delvelop such projects. all the money which comes through aid goes to the accounts of corrupt people.
Sure there is a lot of corruption and even more "ineptitude" on part of our intellectuals and leaders.
But it will surely be wrong to say that "All the money which comes through aid goes to the accounts of corrupt people."
The money in dollars comes from few sources such as:
1. Remittances from expat Pakistanis working mostly in Gulf
2. Pakistani exports
3. US and EU donations
4. Money from international funding institutions.
#1. doesn't go to any corrupt person. It feeds families.
#2 brings home hard cash and supports 10000s of workers
#3 and #4 is spent 95% on the following:
A. Paying off debts (or interest on debts)
B. Paying for expensive imports like petrol, diesel, raw chemicals, Pharma, and most importantly TEA (plus other food items)
So please educate yourself before spreading ignorance. Thank you.
p.s. Learn from South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and India. Will you? They all earn so much from their exports (#2 above) and European Tourism (practically non-existent in Pakistan), that they do not need #3 and #4. Money earned by China (and Indian, Japan ...) from exports and tourism pays for debts (if any) and expensive imports.
So I AGAIN urge you to educate yourself and do not spread ignorance.
