DEVASTATING Hurricane Irma steering towards the US

You should have a chat with forum management about that. I invite you to @waz @Slav Defence

While you show 2 Pakistani flag, you obviously aren't a Pakistani. For real Pakistanis show much more respect to countries that have actually helped Pakistan in times of need.

regarding helping....can you even be coherent in your conversation.
dutch islands in the west indies.....implies they are the rulers the master. the locals are the subjects not free men.
how the hell did you jump from that to countries helped pakistan in time of need?

Blablabla.

The Antilles is an archipelago bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the south and west, the Gulf of Mexico to the northwest, and the Atlantic Ocean to the north and east.

What used to be the Netherlands Antilles has been disbanded permamently 2010.
The following remains:

Aruba, with its own constitution, is a representative parliamentary democracy organised as a unitary state. Aruba's politics take place within a framework of a 21-member Parliament and an eight-member Cabinet. The governor of Aruba is appointed for a six-year term by the monarch, and the prime minister and deputy prime minister are elected by the Staten (or "Parlamento") for four-year terms. The Staten is made up of 21 members elected by direct, popular vote to serve a four-year term. Both Curaçao and Sint Maarten are centralised unitary states with similar administrative characteristics to Aruba. These three islands are seperate countries that are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (just like e.g. the UK consists of the four counries: Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland). The other three former Netherlands Antilles islands (Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius) have elected, by popular referendum, to accept status of special municipality within the country called The Netherlands, which is the fourth country in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Together with the Netherlands, the countries of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. As they share the same Dutch citizenship, these four countries still also share the Dutch passport as the Kingdom of the Netherlands passport. As Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten have small populations, the three countries had to limit immigration. To protect their population, they have the right to control the admission and expulsion of people from the Netherlands. Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten are designated member of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) and thus officially not a part of the European Union, though the islands can and do receive support from the European Development Fund.

Don't blame me for you failure to research and comprehend how things are in the real world (see e.g. post #31). There is nothing implicit about it: these are easily verifiable facts (if you bother, that is, not if you are too lazy and just stick with your biased preconceptions)

The Kingdom of the Netherlands (that is: all four countries mentioned above together) provided aid and assistance to Pakistan on numerous occasions, of which I provided some illustratoins in post #41.

My, my, aren't you pitifull when it comes to reading and comprehending posts in this thread....

Anyway: back to topic, hurricane IRMA.

Not sure if you can say looting when people are taking essential necessities. Food, shoes, clothes.

Big Screen TVs, surround sound, gaming pcs are another thing though...
Looting breaks out in Pakistan-held Kashmir
OCT. 10, 2005
MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan — Shopkeepers clashed with looters Monday and hungry families huddled under tents while waiting for relief supplies after Pakistan's worst earthquake razed entire villages and buried roads in rubble. Death toll estimates ranged from 20,000 to above 30,000.
...
In the shattered streets of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan's portion of divided Kashmir, an Associated Press reporter saw shopkeepers scuffle with people trying to break into shuttered businesses. They beat each other with sticks and threw stones, and some people suffered head wounds. No police were in the area.

Residents said looters also targeting deserted homes, and even gas stations. Survivors lacked food and water amid little sign of any official coordination of relief in the devastated city of 600,000, where at least 11,000 people died.

Similar situations on the French part of Saint Martin and Saint-Barthelemy. The first one has been destroyed at 95%.

A re-construction plan is being put in place but re-construction is estimated at more than €1bn.

Macron just landed there. Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Turks and Caico islands and mostly the lower Keys took a beating. The devastation is unreal. The irony is that despite these islands being such paradises, the wrath of nature impacts them on a periodic bases turning them into hellholes.

Hope everything is ok and not as bad as some of the other areas in FLA.

USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier deployed to Key West

Today Monroe county officials received word that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier was in route to Key West to aid in the hurricane Irma recovery efforts. There has not been any significant changes since early this morning but officials send more resources will continue to ripen the keys throughout the day. Miami Dade Red Cross is bringing 10,000 Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs) as key west city manager Jim Scholl says residents who remain behind “are consuming resources at a rapid rate.”

The Florida Department of Transportation has deemed the jewfish Creek Bridge “safe to travel” along with the five bridges east of Key Largo that connect the Florida Keys to mainland Florida.

Power is available in Key Largo and as far south as Islamorada. Marathon, the lower keys in Key West are still without power, water and communications. Officials are using satellite phones to relay important information.

More news to come later this afternoon.

I did not evacuate like I did with Hurricane Matthew last year. I am going to go out early tomorrow morning and walk around to see what kind of real damage it did.

Hope everything is ok.
Between Harvey and Irma and who knows what others, it's been one of the worst hurricane seasons in a long time. This was actually predicted in early spring (beginning of April) and is constantly updated.

2017 Atlantic hurricane season is an ongoing event in the annual formation of tropical cyclones in the Northern Hemisphere. The season will officially begin on June 1, 2017, and end on November 30, 2017. ...

On April 19, Subtropical Depression One formed in the central north Atlantic, making it the first tropical or subtropical cyclone to develop in April since Tropical Storm Ana in 2003. Later, the storm developed into Tropical Storm Arlene on April 20, becoming only the second named storm to form within the month of April on record.

The appeal of the Sunshine state is always hampered by these hurricanes, especially southern Florida as it's the first area that feels the brunt of every one of these. Every time we head down there with the family or with my buddies on a fishing trip, we plan it during the middle of the winter, to be sure to avoid the sweltering humidity and obviously this stuff. It's a necessary yearly temporary escape from the brutal colds of Boston!

Home insurance in Florida is a real expensive problem. Most insurers refuse to deal with the state.

So true. Same with boat insurance since boating is not just a pleasure activity in Florida, it's a lifestyle and even though the state is not ranked first in boats per capita, it's still the ultimate hub for saltwater recreational boating. You can insure your boat up our way and get full coverage, including storm damage, but they void it if you take it to Florida lol. Not only do most refuse to provide insurance there, the premiums are through the roof just for basic coverage.

Boating is considered integral in most of FLA.

I find it hard to believe Florida doesn't have the most boats per capita. They are all over the place.

It is weird. "Per capita" skews the number a bit because of population percentages. I believe it's ranked 3rd with the most registered boats after Michigan and California as of 2015 if I'm not mistaken. It's actually tough to find current and updated info on that. Plus separating commercial vs recreational boats makes a difference and explains why Michigan would have more recreational boats because of the lakes.

I wonder why nobody ever post NOAA Hurricane Hunter Flight footage about Hurricane.

These are probably the most ever amazing footage you will EVER see, when they regularly flew their WP-3 Orion into the centre of the Hurricane, these people are nuts...

And 3 days later, it's the Air Force's Brother and Sister turn flying into the Hurricane Eye Center of Irna

This time, these people from the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron flew in with a WC-130J
