Take a look at the above picture, obviously it's IAF pilot Abhinandan being taken away by Pakistan Army soldiers. The Indians are boasting on various forms and sites that the Indian Army has taken revenge by allegedly killing the soldier behind Abinandan. They claim the Pakistani trooper was killed by an Indian sniper.
Whether the claim is true or not is not the argument, rather one wonders what makes these Indians tick. Lets assume that the soldier was martyred on the LOC, which is nothing new for both sides but the question is, did he shoot down the IAF aircraft or Abhinandan, was he involved in subsequent thrashing of the Indian pilot, if any thing he is part of the party who saved Abhinandan from a hostile crowd which he acknowledged along with professionalism of the Pak Army. Soldiers from both sides die almost daily on the LOC. So how do the Indians consider this as revenge except to sooth their bruised and battered ego.
If any thing, the Indians should remember the brutal end of the MiG-21 pilot who shot down the unarmed PN Atlantique aircraft. Sometimes later the IAF pilot had to eject from his stricken MiG aircraft and ended up breaking his back. He suffered for six months before he died.
