ISLAMABAD: Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Naval Staff, said on Sunday that Pakistan's desire for peace in the reason should not be mistaken for weakness as the country has the capability to respond effectively to any act of aggression.

According to Pakistan Navy spokesperson, this was said by Admiral Zakaullah while witnessing the joint Pakistan-China naval exercise. Pakistan's Chief of Naval Staff met members of the Chinese ship and compared notes with them.

On the occasion, Admiral Zakaullah said Pakistan and China's harboured strong and friendly ties which dated back to many years. He said the naval drills between Pakistan and China would further improve terms between the two countries. He said that with the functioning of the Gwadar port and the CPEC project, these exercises had become increasingly important.

Admiral Zakaullah also paid a visit to the navy's PN units and praised the performance of the staff. Pakistan Navy had chased an Indian submarine on Friday, which had attempted to secretly enter Pakistani waters. The submarine had been detected and deflected from Pakistani waters by Pakistani fleet units.

Once again the Indians have boosted the morale of our forces and this time, it was the Navy who embarrassed the poor 'Bakhts'
