Demonetisation in India-News and updates

I don't know what you mean by substance, since you are 462 messages old and have 5 negative ratings, unless you are a veteran who cannot find acceptance, and has to creep in again and again and again. Obviously very few others agree with you. Certainly you not only do not ingratiate yourself, you offend people, and apparently a wide selection of people.

As for what you know being more important, if grammar is an indication, you know little; nor is your knowledge of economics any better, or your understanding of life for the ordinary people whom you seem to know very little.

You talk grandly about the new world order; what are you referring to? There is no new order, only an attempt at recreating the dinosaurs of the past. What substance are you referring to, exactly? Something that keeps getting you thrown out repeatedly? anyone with substance would surely be sought after, if not here then elsewhere. It seems that nobody will have you but this forum, 500 to a 1000 messages at a time.

It may be time for you to take a good look at yourself. That will not be very pleasant, perhaps, but it may bring you back to reality.

PS: 'Flowery' language, not 'flower' language; there should be a 'the' before the 'powers that be'. And 'whom you knew', not 'who you knew'. Why do you even bother with the white man's tongue?

It would be sad if I ever sought acceptance in an anonymous internet forum. That sounds like something you desire. No doubt to compensate for rejections and failures in the real world.

You are back to issuing me "Certificates" because that is the only way you know how to pretend to be better informed  ..... silly childish games which anyone with moderate intelligence can see through. But you are lucky you are in pdf. A grand platform for your cheap theatrics. lol.

Your ad hominem means nothing to anybody, maybe a useless reminder of your character.

BTW the new world order is also the new word order. Anyone who uses twitter or sms or chats would know that. You won't.

From all indications, given your standards and level of discourse, you would not find acceptance anywhere. Not even in an anonymous internet forum. Not even in twitter or chats. And that is not ad hominem; it is just holding up a mirror. Don't blame me if what that mirror shows is coarse and ugly.

Its impossible to have a good discourse in india. Now a days.
People are too intolerant. The society is going down the drain.

NEW DELHI: With so little cash, you can’t even have a decent dinner, forget running regular diplomatic business, the Russian ambassador to India told New Delhi in a strongly worded letter as the country, a major global player and a key defence supplier for India, officially critiqued demonetisation-induced cash shortage for its diplomatic staff.

Diplomatic missions of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia and Sudan have also sent protest letters on cash withdrawal restrictions.

ET reported on December 3 ( Demonetisation Dollar Spat Between India, Pak ) that the Pakistan High Commission staff had refused to take salaries protesting new rules on withdrawing dollars.

Russian ambassador Alexander Kadakin, an old India hand, wrote to the ministry of external affairs (MEA) on December 2: “Please just imagine if we in Moscow mirror this order of SBI (State Bank of India) when 50,000 roubles will not be enough to pay for a decent dinner in a restaurant, not to mention functioning of such a big embassy as ours in New Delhi or India’s in Moscow.”

“SBI informed the Embassy that the cash withdrawal limit available to the Embassy is now Rs 50,000 per week under the government of India directives with no exceptions unless otherwise advised by the RBI,” he wrote. “Such an amount is totally inadequate as regards the embassy’s salary and operational expenditure requirements.”

Officials in the Russian embassy, who spoke off record, told ET that its New Delhi mission has a staff strength of 200 (excluding family members) and with the new withdrawal limit the cash at hand for one person comes to Rs 250 a week.

Kadakin in his letter urged MEA to intervene so that the withdrawal restrictions for diplomatic staff is lifted.

A senior diplomat in Delhi told ET that a number of missions have taken their case to MEA and many more may follow.

Some diplomats said Indian diplomats abroad may have to face similar restrictions if the situation does not improve.

They also said the restrictions may be against the spirit of the Vienna convention.

Kazakhstan celebrated its National Day recently amid “some difficulty” due to limits on cash withdrawal, diplomats told ET. Some other embassies are apprehensive that organising big diplomatic events may become problematic.

A task force of Ministry of External Affairs and finance ministry was set up after demonetisation was announced on November 8.

Some bank branches have been kept aside for transactions by diplomats so that mission staff can avoid long queues.

But foreign diplomats in India say there has to be a solution to the fundamental problem – ceiling on cash withdrawal.

Ministry of External Affairs has said it is working to find solution to the problem.

That is the Fundamental difference between People with Substance and people who rely on style and no substance.

You need to beg, borrow or steal to find "acceptance" because that is the ONLY way you can ever find relevance in this world. I have never suffered such desperation. I am in demand because of my skills, know how, experience and background.

People strive to find my acceptance because they stand to gain from it, while you strive to find others acceptance to gain from their efforts.

I love the mirror and I like what I see because I have very clear vision. If only you could see your own reflections.

Then you are among the privileged few. If you cannot see the disastrous consequences all around you, it is either deliberate or delusional. Further, it is not the monied and the prosperous, those who already lived in a plastic economy, who are worst affected; it is those who are among the most vulnerable.

The consequences of this megalomania will haunt us for decades.
When I know the currency reform in India, without any regional experiment, without any discussion of the study, even without preparation, and even without taking into account the existence of the problem. Direct quickly spread to the whole country... I was shocked.
This policy gave me a very sudden feeling, just like... Modi yesterday 23:59 want to carry out currency reform. Today 00:01 announced the implementation.
No considering the right or wrong of the policy, it is no doubt that such a hasty decision is an irresponsible attitude.

:) ask majority of emotional Indian members on this forum and they have no idea but a single popular answer that the move has blocked all black money and fake notes.

They do not deliberate upon the fact that how much time it will take to print required notes and above the question if this move had really brought the desired benefits ?
First time i have seen in history that people who meant to suffer bcz of this demonetization are happy (indian) ,while those who have nothing to do with it are suffering ..and cursing indians that y they are not suffering ...lol ..

Actually, I have done all that I needed to. My relevance is not confined to PDF; it never was. And it is you who thinks of desperation in this context, because your being in demand is an illusion in your own mind. If you were in such demand, you wouldn't have been haunting PDF, would you?

People strive to find my acceptance because they stand to gain from it, while you strive to find others acceptance to gain from their efforts.

Yes, that sounds likely. Who would strive to find your acceptance, actually? Considering that you get kicked out on a regular basis, isn't that a little delusional?

Of course you love the mirror. Delusions about the self are well-known symptoms in a classic psychotic syndrome. Nothing very surprising.

Not merely irresponsible, but also stupid. To trap the delinquent by forcing them to explain their wealth is all very well, to do so by harming nearly a hundred times more, and from the vulnerable sections of society is a betrayal of the responsibility of high office, as well as a demonstration of complete lack of intellect.

This is the thing that confuses me the most about the demonetisation. Most illegal money is not kept in cash form to begin with.
Well but for every illegal holdings ,illegal cash is the root..
For example - if we need to fill a bucket first we sud fill the hole in bottom of bucket..
Demonetization is the first step-next is digital banking, which will help curbing the illegal income to a great extent.
Lets forget about the properties and holdings of past for a while, first stop the ways people make it ..half the work is done and somemore time it will take to fully implement it.
There are also some plans are going on where old tax system will be revoked and new taxes will be on every bank transaction..its not clear upto yet but somedays later it will be :)

Modi is going to pull Indians into the digital age whether we like it or not.
The jan dhan accounts is something i have seen first hand wrt our maid.
Her family now withdraws money in a far away place and we are sure that the agents are not upto to any mischief. Mobile phones everywhere also help.
The support for demonetisation is still very strong at street level.
Well yesterday my maid asked for payment..i told her i dont have cash..she told me to transfer 2500 in her account..lol ..
And people here say that its not going to help us :p

Do you live in Bengal? That's one of the few states affected by the demonetization because the state govt is not cooperating with Modi. The actual move was RBI's brainchild, not Modi's.

Otoh, other opposition controlled states like Karnataka are doing well because the state govts are working with the centre.

Let's also not forget that a pretty large chunk of the Bengal economy was running on fake currency and other illicit businesses. So the huge loss of jobs in the region was expected, obviously planned.
