Dr. Farrukh Salim is either wrong or telling a lie. The Mohajir population was 65% in consensus of 1998 not 49% while Pushtoon Population was only 11.3%.

There is no way that Pushtoon population becomes 25% within 10 years. So much migration has not taken place.

The vote bank of ANP is very much divided and Pushtoon community is also voting to PPP & MQM too. While a big number of Pushtoon community is also voting for religious party like JI.

And ANP is not getting a single vote from Sindhies or Punjabies or Baluchies etc.

Whether you like it or not and believe Dr Farrukh Saleem or not. The fact remains that it is the fight between ANP and MQM for the control of Karachi.

It is also a fact that vast percentage of suicide bombers, drug runners & gun runners and smugglers are Pushtoons. Shahi Syed is an ethnic bigot. He is supporting criminals simply because they are Pushto speakers.

I have been pointed out buildings in Karachi which were previously owned by non Pushtoons but have since been taken over by Pushtoons at the point of a gun. Have we forgotten that first attack on Biharis in Karachi was by Kalashnikov wielding Pushtoons during Zia’s time in 1980’s?

MQM is without doubt based on thuggery, but main perpetrators of the current bloodbath in Karachi are Pushtoons from the Mahsood tribe. PPP is also guilty for not apprehending the people and calling spade a spade. Only indication was a very polite statement by Zardari that MQM has been wronged.

We can no longer afford the luxury of ***** footing and not openly stating the obvious. Where do you think all the Mahsood terrorists fighting PA in South Waziristan ran away to? Sadly the answer is probably Karachi. South Wazirisatn is at peace but Karachi is burning.

Followers of Baitullah Mahsood were mostly Mahsood tribesmen; they are killing Pashtoons in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwah and innocent Karachiites in Karachi. Bigoted Taliban lovers are covertly supporting these anti Pakistan forces. If our corrupt politicians can't openly admit this fact. At least in this forum we can be honest about it.

For the record, I am not and never was an MQM supporter, but IMO in this particular case MQM is lesser of the evils.

the problems of karachi are due to the support and funds provided by all political parties to the 'criminals' and 'mafia gangs' to take control of karachi - meanwhile the common man is the innocent victims of this barbaric policy.
