What's new

Democracy never flourished in Pakistan because rulers were hand-picked in past: PM

None whatsoever. After all, the helping hand is invisible, as always. :D

I do not care anymore. :D

Not always. Zia ul haq and Nawaz Sharif was easy to see. The non-party based 1985 elections was the most clear. When Musharraf was in power he jailed Imran Khan lol.

Of course. And we are promised that this time things have changed too. Of course.

No, it is not invisible always, at least not in the case of ZAB and MNS :D

Right. It can be seen only when it is suitable to be seen. Of course. :D

Well for starters I can see that the PM isn’t going to use tax money to but apartments in London, the foreign minister is actually doing his job by peddling Pakistan’s narrative and the Finance minister is not an economic hitman.

I’d say these are big improvements lol.

ZAB was a member of Conventional Muslim League, MNS of IJI/ML ... PTI was founded by Bloody Civilian(s) with no help from the military...
Maybe it's just 'distrust' based on our past experiences? :D

A damn good observation!!! The worst part was the Pak leaders were chosen by RAW/CIA/MOSAD etc. to kill Pak from inside!!!! And, many a time they became quite successful....

Yes, that is true that PMIK is not a corrupt man himself, and that indeed is an improvement. But Pakistan itself needs so much more for its rapidly expanding population.

May be. May be not. It doesn't matter actually. Even if you or I are correct about this matter, what matters now is the actual results that can be delivered with this "alignment of institutions". In fact I would not even complain about another dictatorship if it can solve the pressing issues of social development, health, education, power, water, those sorts of things. Seriously.

No Sir, I disagree.
A big NO to dictatorship,
unless, of course, it's the Dictatorship of the Proletariat

If it delivers the results, then so be it. For me to admit this is only an indication of just how bad the overall prognosis has become for Pakistan in my view.

Umpire ki ungli ki hope may dharnay aur civil disobedience call daynay wala aaj kya batain kar raha hai :omghaha: I swear the hypocrisy and BS that comes out of IK and PTI is unbelievable :man_in_love:

Baychara yeh bhee shayad bhool gaya hoga about how he himself has come to power :azn:

But it's IK so - wah wah bhai kya baat ki aap nay oi hoiiiiiiii hila diya patwario ko :sarcastic::sarcastic:

Bhutto started his political career from Ayub Khan's Conventional Muslim League (whom he called 'dad')

Nawaz Sharif was 'launched' by Gen. Zia (and his Defense Secretary Gen. Jilani) to counter PPP's popularity in Punjab.

IK has struggled for 22 years to turn popular support (he had as a cricketer) into electoral gains.

You see no difference?

Jai IK Jai

And here comes the attacks

You are entitled to your opinion, mate
But it is hard to deny that Imran Khan has amassed genuine unprecedented popularity among Pakistani voters, thanks to his legendary charisma and 'tabdeeli' promises.

Jai IK Jai

What is 'Jai'?

IK is very likely the most popular political personality in Pakistan, I can't deny that.

BUT to become PM, he was hand picked and had a helping hand - the same thing he seems to be criticising.

Promises are cheap to make, but hard to keep.
