What interests are you talking about ??? Do you mean that Bangladesh should not get rid of radical terrorists and become more like present day Pak where terrorism is deeply inscribed in the minds of people and where people resort to terrorism in the name of "Mujahiddins" and "Jihad".

The course BD has chosen is one of development and getting rid of sub-continental desire to be happy in others misery while sitting in deep Sh*t. BD has chosen the path of a secular nation with people voting on the basis on economic growth and prosperity rather than who is pro-Indian or pro-Pak but does nothing for BD in terms of development. Getting rid of radicals and terrorists is one gigantic step for economic appraisal and tranquility atleast in BD itself and more so in the region around it. It will only increase BD's status in International community.

TO be Mujahid or to be jihad is not bad as it is the fundamental of any muslim. It is to fight against any injustice . Sheikh Hasina and Awami League Party are doing a great thing building stronger ties with India. India are our neighbour and ally and we need to have better ties with India. If we have a choice of making a deal with either India, or China, we must choose India.

By saying that without India we would not get independence you have insulted the freedom fighter.... The "multi bahini" the term that you have used here is mainly used by the Indians.... Bangladesh is geographically a transit country. And unlike what u guys say, all local newspapers report tht TRANSIT FEES WILL BE CHARGED. There will be transit links for Bhutan etc also. It will bring lot of revenue for Bangladesh.

Without India's support a LOT more lives would have been lost.A lot more women raped. And eventually we would have to cave in. Our Mukti bahini were young farmers etc who had NO military training. The reason they became a threat was because they were trained and given arms by India. India gave us lot of support , regardless for their own interst or not, it benefitted us greatly. I have the gretest respect for all the martyrs who gave their lives for our freedom, but ofcourse we also needed all the help we can get, because it was a battle between civilians against trained military of Pakistan.

I can experience the power problem being solved. Unlike u, I am in bangladesh, and have seen how the amount of hours load shedding occurs have been decreasing and now it is almost zero. Also around 10,000 community clinics were openeed and that is just a peak of the ice berg. Unlike the oppos. party, AL is working twards Digital bangladesh, and we can only see improvement from now. The last thing we need is the backward policies of the Opp party, who take their party name too literally, resulting in isolation from other countries.

U are exaggerating the terms o the loan. The terms of the loan are very much favourable for bangladesh's development.

Wow, Indian quassi-colonial foot print on the speak..you forget that India was the driving force behind stirring AL and Mujeeb propaganda. Mujeeb was killed by your own ppl for being an Indian traitor. And more important, India played on the naivety of largely agrarian rural Banglis as well religious sentiments since large part of them were hindus and orchestrated the mass murder of intellectuals. If Pakistan were the oppressors they wouldn't be giving such a large share to bengali talents in education and armed services sector. The benglais formed the top cream of Pakistani intellectuals. Actually the Bengali uprising was such a successful RAW op that it even took the Pakistani military by surprise.

Mujib was killed because of his one party rule and rampant corruption beause of him in the country. Not because of him being any "indian traitor"

Bangladesh at the end of the day is a mjority MUSLIM country (88% muslim)... we did want to be part of Pakistan created by Jinah. It was the oppression of Pakistanis - starting with imposing their language on us and also denying the election that was won by a Bengali, which led to us wanting to be separate. I can understand India wanting bangladesh to be separate from PK, but if anyone is responsible for the starting of this war, it is the Pakistanis themselves. And it is a well documented fact that Pakistani army slectively killed intellectuals, university profs, journ alists etc. Not india or anyone else. My grandmother says that just before the surrender, the Pakistani army became more ferocious in killing ppl and doing damage.

And to all my fellow countrymen, I would like to say that I immensely respect all the martyrs (may Allah grant them the highest level of paradise) and all the muktijoddhas and all men women and children who lost their lives and made enrmous sacrifices for our country. I am just ackjnoledging the fact that we needed India's help and we should be grateful, that when Pakistan's allies China and USA didnot show up, India showed up and helpd us.
