What's new

Delhi has the right to generate hydroelectricity ,In a first India has called on Pakistan to enter intergovernmental negotiations within 90days

That is until Imran Khan returns. Make no mistake. He will return sooner or later.
Pakistani history books 📚 gonna go crazy

It will be a legendary moment, I hope Khan can be more pragmatic in his return

. . . .

By the end of the official calendar this year, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura received deficient rainfall, whereas Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland experienced rainfall in the normal range

Millions of rupees might be a big amount for the Pakistanis

Hahahaha what about the rest of the states? It's accumulated lack of rainfall which is adding up in those states why do you think they found themselves in drought? It also proves the monsoons are losing their vigour and can't be relied on for water. There is mountains of evidence for this from India's own scientists.

Millions of rupees might be a big amount for the Pakistanis

Throwing it back to us? You look stupid when it's your 'tough' government paying the Chinese for water survival. . Now get back to your day job so Modi can collect taxes to pay the Chinese so you guys can still drink some water. :enjoy:

.
Your prime Minister learnt from that, when will you?

Diplomatic language withstanding, we hate hindus here and over the last few years from Afghanistan to the LOC to China humiliating India we have been ok

. .
and all i want to say is that india is at the mercy of China in water wars. yet they want to act like thugs in front of us.

Ignore that one with his moronic writings. The fact the 'tough' sanghi government pays millions to the Chinese to save them from water death tells you everything.
It's not just the Brahmaputra don't let the discussion take you there. Their entire fresh water system from the Sultaj to the Ganges to the Brahmaputra is at stake here.

Indeed, no country in Asia is more vulnerable to China’s re-engineering of trans-boundary flows than India because it alone receives — directly or via rivers that flow in through Nepal — nearly half of all river waters that leave Chinese-controlled territory.

Vietnam is the most affected downstream country as the Mekong River flows into the South China Sea near Ho Chi Minh City. Saltwater intrusion from the sea compounds the problem and exacerbated droughts of 2019 and 2020. This rapid expansion of hydropower threatens all countries that share the Lower Mekong Basin with downstream Cambodia and Vietnam at greatest risk

No you are the most impacted hence your protection payments.
The Chinese are also willing to listen to other oriental states, but not India.

@walterbibikow post that crap again please.

By the way what you posted is because of Pakistani mismanagement.
I can't argue with you, that's right because when you destroy someone post by post it's no longer an argument but murder, and you're the victim.
Like I said your nation is being held hostage by China and you pay them lots of money so they don't take your water away. Yet you are here telling us how you will hurt Pakistan, you really are a joke.

India should never forget we have a bunker buster for every one of those dams and more. By the time likes of Abhinandans chase us out, it'd already be too late.

What I'm trying to imply is that 🇮🇳 NE region especially Arunachal and Assam gets 30٪ of it's fresh water resources from the Brahmaputra river which naturally originates from Tibet (now under Chinese occupation). If China wants to divert the water flow, then we've many other options like the 2,585 MW project on River Sankosh. The project received grant money from a partnership between Bhutan and India in 2017 and will be one of the largest hydropower project in the region. The project cost is $1.65 billion which is an ambitious and expensive project for a small country with a GDP of $2.7 billion.

Water-rich Bhutan, Myanmar and Nepal sit on vast untapped hydropower reserves and 🇮🇳 is investing heavily on hydro-power projects

You have no options. 30% is a rough estimate but still massive, where is the rest going to come from? Certainly not the rains. It's not just about the Brahmaputra, haven't you been paying attention? Your projects rely on water flow hahaha.
No idea why you mentioned the rest of those countries. Is Bhutan going to give you drinking water? Nepal relies on China and it's relations with India are poor, they blame you for border disputes.

There is no benefit or value to Pakistan to change the treaty - India must shutup and abide by the terms. If India wants to violate the treaty - then i guess that they can try and do it.

It is why they have invited Pakistan "FM" to try and give pretext for the fool to agree to changes.

Independence, essentially South Asia was too similar, Kashmir and animosity ensured peace in South Asia was impossible. This ensured that we never drifted back into India

What's happening with hindutva extremism in India is exactly what we were worried about from the beginning, being independent of that with our own military was essential

staying independent is an achievement. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives are all independent
