What's new

Delhi has the right to generate hydroelectricity ,In a first India has called on Pakistan to enter intergovernmental negotiations within 90days

What has Pakistan achieved other than losing their Eastern half ?

Independence, essentially South Asia was too similar, Kashmir and animosity ensured peace in South Asia was impossible. This ensured that we never drifted back into India

What's happening with hindutva extremism in India is exactly what we were worried about from the beginning, being independent of that with our own military was essential

States go up and dow, as do economies but you won't keep getting the chance for independence, ask the the communities stuck inside India now

Also Bangladesh is a Muslim state as per partition and it cost a lot to keep it like that

@hussain0216

Hussain bhai,

Pakistan is 7 times smaller in population then India,

I Pakistani= 10 Hindoo. You guys outnumber us 1.5:1

Regards

Why do you think we have been able to do so much

.
LOL. "acceptance by other world power" ?

Why do we need their acceptance or approval ? Our internal and bilateral matters are our own. Not for others to comment or interfere.

LOL again at your "nehruvian" view of the world. The world is a jungle and its a dog eat dog world out there.

No one gives a shit about anyone else except themselves. So kindly grow up an spare us this nonsense.
Acceptance equals action. Actions congruent with our interests. What is it that we can dictate?

You ask why we need the world? Because we are not strong enough to dictate terms. As simple as that.

You're mistaking pragmatism for something else.

lol. Needing the world and wanting their "approval" are two very different things. And dictating to the world is a whole different thing. You are mixing all three and seem to think its all the same. Its NOT.

Pragmatism is acting Pragmatic i.e. dealing with problems in a practical way rather than by following ideas or principles,

Practical means actually doing something, not thinking or talking about it.

The 2,000 MW Lower Subansiri project in India will be finished in the middle of this year. In addition to producing power, several hydroelectric projects is going to help us in reducing the water scarcity for up to a year in the event of a Chinese diversion and manage flooding in the event that China releases exceptionally high levels. Indian govt have started executing the largest hydropower project, worth 11,000 megawatts (MW), in Upper Subansiri. The north-eastern hydroelectric projects are underway and it is one of those strategic moves which will help us to counter the potential effects of Chinese flow diversion through the dams China is building

This will do NOTHING. The volume and velocity of the water is from China and with that ebbed how much you conserve will be negligible.

This is also a run of a river dam and won't answer the problems you have if you decide to play water chief lol....

With the 11,000 MW dam, the adversity of Chinese dams will be diminished. The design of the Indian project now includes a "buffer storage" of 9 billion cubic meters of water during monsoonal flow. This could act as a reserve for water normally available from the Brahmaputra or protect against sudden releases.

Pakistan is concerned that India’s planned hydropower dams will cut flows on the river, which feeds 80 per cent of its irrigated agriculture

You've always had the option to do this, it's nothing new.

However play dirty then the Chinese will f*ck you so hard you can't imagine.

Now, it has emerged that China is charging India millions of dollars for hydrological information on transboundary rivers. t appears that the country is now using water diplomacy to supplement its military endeavors in the region.

The Brahmaputra river accounts for close to 30 percent of India’s freshwater resources and about 44 percent of its total hydropower potential.

China provides data from the three hydrological stations at Nugesha, Yangcun, and Nuxia on the Yarlung Zangbo river from May 15 to October 15, and from Tsada on the Langqen Zangbod from June 1 to October 15 every year. The information provided is significant for India for preparing for flood control and disaster management.
In 2019, professor Nimmi Kurian of the New Delhi-based Centre for Policy Research (CPR) revealed that in the absence of an institutional mechanism,
India had to pay close to Rs 8.2 million to China every year for accessing water information from the Brahmaputra every year. :enjoy:
Recently, The Quint published a report citing Central Government data revealing that India paid close to Rs 158 million so far to China for hydrological information
on the Sutlej

In terms of the money, the MOU suggests that India pay for the reading for the monsoon. That is the payment India has to make because people have to go to the specific area and measure the water.

So India is literally paying millions to China for them not to f*ck them due to water scarcity hahahahahahaha.
Yet we have Indian nationalists in here trying to say India has up the upper hand and will now turn the screws on Pakistan even though China is screwing them now. You can't make it up.

The best part is here;

In their book, China’s International Transboundary Rivers, writers Lei Xie and Shaofeng Jia highlight that the country has engaged in a number of diplomatic initiatives with the Mekong countries to allow trust-building with these lower riparian nations. This includes consultation, information sharing, disaster control, and biodiversity protection.

So this is all from the good will of China. Imagine how they will treat Indian when it's very own strategic ally is threatened by India's sanghis filth. Bye bye water and welcome desert.

Pakistan is done and dusted. It's of no use to china now:taz:

You will be history and your people. Heck you're paying to be kept alive now hahahah.

Same old sh*t you wrote above. It won't happen if the flow is diminished. Your monsoons are erratic as well.

That is until Imran Khan returns. Make no mistake. He will return sooner or later.

China will beat up India with wooden sticks irrespective of Pakistan.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland experienced rainfall in the normal range. Upper Siang project will act as a reservoir. In the event of a diversion of water by China, the massive reservoir will be able to feed Arunachal Pradesh and its irrigation requirements

China will beat up India with wooden sticks irrespective of Pakistan.
Yeah it was recently visible in the Tawang clash

That is until Imran Khan returns. Make no mistake. He will return sooner or later.
He'll screw up Pakistan even more

Nagaland eh? Rain deficiency and drought.

Rest of India....

India has recorded a 32% deficit in monsoon rainfall in the first fortnight of the season that began on June 1, data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has revealed

And even in the northeast, some states have not received their normal quota of rains -- highlighting the trend of regional and sub-regional variation in monsoon rainfall that increases the challenge for farmers.

Over northeast India, for instance, Manipur has a 50% deficit, Mizoram 46% and Tripura 38%. Among northwestern states where monsoon hasn’t arrived yet, pre-monsoon activity has been missing. For example, Delhi has a 92% rain deficiency, Haryana 92% and Uttar Pradesh 96%.

I actually didn't know the sanghi puddus are paying China millions of rupees to stop them turning nasty. This is epic!

Millions of rupees might be a big amount for the Pakistanis

.
Not serious man. I was saying there isnt even a reason to bring in China. Pakistan can and should handle this on its own and show the Indians the middle finger.
and all i want to say is that india is at the mercy of China in water wars. yet they want to act like thugs in front of us.
