Look , I applaud the sheer bravery and respect Indians here for posting this topic and many such as these here, in a place where you know that some members from other countries will use a rape of a woman to taunt Indians. That's their upbringing

But at the same time don't get distracted by it. Yes- They too have several such problems, just that their media or lack of does not bring it to the fore front. BUT- The goal here is to, through citizens of India's voices' bring about real change for your betterment. let the others be mired in sloth and ignore their taunts as much as you can.

President Pranab Mukherjee dedicated the new year to improving women's safety. Let us make efforts that 2014 does not see a single rapist or rapist minded element in society alive. Lets kill all of them. Its time to do a cleaning job in the society.

Its time to fight the enemies who live around us in our society but pose a greater threat to us than any non Indian. Don't go by nationality of criminals. I said in my previous post.

You know the rapists and their supporters who happen to be Indians have challenged the progressive Indians. The rapists and their supporters should not think that since they have Indian voters ID cards, Ration Cards, Pan Cards, Passports etc, and can sing the national anthem, they will get away with any crime. I don't care if any rapist sings Vandemataram and holds a tricolor but at the same time rapes a woman, if I get him, I will kill him because he is my society's enemy.

We need to redefine the word 'enemy'. An enemy does not necessarily mean someone who lives outside the border of the country, an enemy can live within us and can be more dangerous to us than those neighboring foreigners who we consider as enemies. I recall a Hindi film Prahaar where the protagonist a commando officer says why he killed several thugs and how the thugs who happen to be Indians pose a more serious threat to the society than any non Indian. The rapists of this country has hijacked the country and its people but its time to eliminate them once and for all.

Great speech but it's not killing of rapists that will fix this issue. It is education, awareness, social stigmas being uprooted and a strong judiciary/ along with law enforcement that will help dramatically reduce this menace in India. start a PSA for example where honoring women and coming to their aid would be seen as " noble" vs. looking the other way.

I think this is pretty shameful pandering the UN is indulging in. By no measure are tale rapes worse in India than most over developed or developing nation. India is not the only place were sexual violence occurs. And yet the UN speaks out on this incident? It's absurd it really is. Yes, Indian society needs to take a long hard look at itself but for the UN to get involved just what is the point? A pathetic attempt to jump on the bandwagon, a bandwagon Indians themselves created. Why is the UN silent on other just as heinous crimes being committed as we speak in other parts of the world??

I would urge people to not even celebrate republic day in 2013. What's the use of being a republic with armed forces, police forces when such incidents are allowed to happen to our girls? Sad affair!!
