Delhi: Government has ordered that no school in Delhi will hire any transport vehicle of any kind without police verification of its owner and the crew.

The Special Task Force, headed by Union Home Secretary, which was constituted to look into the safety issues of women in Delhi, also reviewed helpline No.100 and directed that whenever a call is received, the nearest PCR vehicle must reach the spot.

Every DTC and cluster bus should have a CCTV/Webcam and every member of the crew of a public transport vehicle must have a photo identify card latest by March 1, 2013 duly verified by Delhi Police.

If this direction is not complied with, the Delhi Police will not allow these vehicles to ply.

"No school should hire any transport vehicle of any kind without the owner and the rest of the crew being verified by Delhi Police. Such order and the police verification thereof must be completed by February 1," the task force decided.

The meeting reviewed the status of different Helplines, PCR Vans, DTC/cluster bus service, working hours for discotheques and women help desks in Police Stations among other issues.

The task force was constituted after huge public outrage after the gang-rape of a girl in Delhi on December 16. The task force, comprising officials from Central and Delhi governments, Delhi Police, municipal bodies, would meet every fortnight.

The task force decided that all stand alone discotheques and all five-star discotheques must close down the music by 12.30 am and completely close down by 1.00 am.

The high-powered body decided to increase the number of lines from 60 to 100 for Helpline No.100.

Another Helpline 1091 used generally for counselling of women had two lines. It was decided that this line will be converted into distress helpline for women and the number of lines will be increased from 2 to 10 or more. It was also agreed that invariably ladies should be deputed to attend the calls on these lines.

Another helpline 1096 for anti-obscene and anti-stalking Helpline was also reviewed. It was agreed that these helplines will under no circumstances ask the person in distress to call any other number or direct the person to any other forum and ensure that the co-ordination with any other forum is done by the helpline.

The task force found that the number of PCR vans was inadequate and decided that they be revised suitably to make the PCR vans more proactive and responsive.

Every Police Station must have a Women's Help Desk occupied by lady staff. During night, there should be at least two women staff deployed at the Police Station. Every Women's Help Desk at a Police Station shall associate women NGO volunteers with the help of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW).

The position of buses and bus stops was also reviewed with the Chief Secretary and Transport Commissioner of Delhi. It was agreed that DTC/cluster buses should be GPS-enabled and it should be made functional at a Centralised Control Room by February 1.

India turning into a Police state, looks like the government is the hatchet man for the New World Order

. .
How come?? In this sense London is the largest police state with all those CCTV cameras :what:

The Greys want you to believe this so they can bring about their NWO. It will be a state of tyranny funded by Global banks. Take the light, fight the darkness.

Side with the Annunaki, don't use technology

. .
Delhi going London way?

But it's a necessary step when the Police force is not adequate to keep vigil on 17 million peoples.

. .
How about CB radios and these web cameras should be accessible by any family member who desires to keep an eye on their family traveling these buses. suit should follow for the entire nation not just Delhi.

.
Good decision !! Its always reassuring to see CCTV while travelling in public trasport.

Yeah, queue up in line to have your liberties taken away

Letting the culprit continue indulging in crimes against humanity should be curbed and put under the spot light. This government is going down next election so vote bank in India will forever be the decision pushing elite's. This congress is very unpatriotic and are more interested in votes rather than the good will of this nation.

@TruthSeeker stop doing your Alex Jones impression. This step has been taken in the light of a BRUTAL attack recently- steps need to be taken and thank God they are.

I wouldn't mind if Indian police took a lead from the West wrt police. If you compare the average police (non-specilised/beat bobby) man in the West wrt their training, equipment, understanding of crime and actual law-fighting ability and then compare it with the average police men in India you will find the situation pathetic I'm sad to say.

This is personified in the apperance and equipment given to the average police men:

All have a personal radio, personal weapon non-lethal (collapsible baton,Tazer, pepper spray) and/or lethal (side arm), stab/bullet proof vest, durable modern handcuffs, modern, durable purpose built uniform with pouches to hold all their kit.

The average police man will have a lathi- this is ALL. And they will be wearing an outdated, colonial, heavy, unpratical uniform dating back over 100 years.

If you call measures to improve law and order turning into a "police state" or part of some global conspiracy then fine, so be it.

Exactly why Bilderberg continues to invest in India. Fine, have fun when the government turns on you.

So should they have guns? India will become a part of the NWO tyranny led by the Greys!

If they try to do this, I'm sure they'll face another 1947. The turncoats will not get what they want, tyranny!
