As far as your concerns about TMC still winning Panchayat elections in Bengal are concerned let me tell u that the victory of TMC in the two constituencies of Bongaon and Kishangunge mainly owing to the fact that the Anti- TMC vote has split between the Left and BJP wher the BJP has come in a close second to the ruling party and their is been a huge surge in their vote share in both the constituencies. Another major reason for the win in Bongaon is due to the presence of the Mathua community who are highly inclined to the local Thakur family who are supposedly their political as well as more dangerously their religious patrons.Although recently there has been a split in the family recently in favour of BJP the Mathuas still owe their allegiance to the TMC faction of this family and hence all their votes went to them.
for the red part sir,it was always the case, even during Communist Rule.in Bengal, always split vote decides the winner.thats why, here, political parties has to take care so many factors.I don't know from where do you belong, but pretty much everybody knows the truth.second,in Bongaon,BJP was third, not second.it was CPIM candidate and our HOD Debesh Das(sir)(I belongs to Jadavpur University, where Debesh Sir is our HOD).
Matua Community was always an factor in Bangaon as it consists 50% of total vote.but it was no the major factor as possibly the vote was shared quite evenly.but the major factors were calling Cow Trade "Anti Socialist activity"(which was a common trade in that region and was not a banned activity.cross border smuggling is) and not giving old veteran BJP worker K D Biswas ticket.rather,BJP trusted on a newbie.plus,BJP's ploy to make a division in Thakur Bari was also made wrong impression. One Communist leader correctly said,BJP is trying to make a party from grabbing few supporters from here and there.this kind of game doesn't last in Bengal.presently,BJP is getting a lot of swing votes, but, these are not solid supports..whatever...
now about the news report....Dafuq...State Govt coined a Land Acquisition Policy for a valid reason.Land acquisition is a burning issue in bengal.people don't even want to give land for roads and rails now.it didn't start recently.it has a long history of encroaching govt lands.plus, another point to be taken was West Bengal has acute shortage of lands.even then,Army had massive amount of land in West Bengal.but due to their neglectance, encroachers encroached so many lands(same with Rail).recently,Army is asking few hundred acres of land in Dumdum.if someone visits Dumdum, they'd know that there is very little space left in this area as it is densely populated.to give land in this densely populated region, you'd have to remove thousands of permanent settlers.plus, army never going to pay proper price of land(as cost of these lands are skyhigh).there is bound to be some problem.in Kalingpong too,Govt didn't provide NOC due to some reason, and West Bengal wasn't only state which did it.several states didn't provide NOC to various projects due to environmental concern(If something wrong happens, envirionmentalists will fry both Govt's and Army's @rs3).plus,when Army first discussed this matter to the state, the agreed that they'll follow State's Land Acquisition Procedures.so,why they're whining now,for taking some time??I'm not anti indian or pro-TMC.but one has to understand,we're talking about most densely populated region in India, where Land issues toppled previous government and even present government are struggling to procure lands for development.don't make moronic comments like Mamta is Anti Indian or so,as you're not talking about this about a random woman, you're accusing entire West Bengal Government for playing Anti Indian role.
