Bangladesh just needs one mega city and the rest of Bangladesh for agricultural reasons (providing food for the mega city)... I am saying this because Bangladesh doesn't have land to spare... Maybe Dhaka could be made into a mega city?

It's not what the stats say.. Right now Bangladesh is the most densely populated country in the world.. And it doesn't help that Bangladesh is slowly getting eroded away by waves... So I am just saying use Bangladesh's arable land as a advantage and make just one mega city with the best infrastructure.

I think Bangladesh could achieve it.

Bangladesh must spend huge amount of sum to build inz infrastructure around the country...after health and education should come spending on infrastructure...then I think insh allah Bangladeshi economy will grow even faster rate. Leave dhaka as it is... there is no way we can organize unplanned Dhaka city.

Bangladesh heavily centralized in capital Dhaka. I see Dhaka as hopeless city. New infrastructure to attract investers in Dhaka will not work. So forget making new infrastructure in Dhaka. Leave Dhaka at it is. Bangladeshis have to make infrastructure by tough management outside Dhaka in other districts. Already Chittagong and Sylhet is growing. If we can build new infrastructure planned, in other districts like Chadnpur, Kumillah, Jinaidah, Rangpur, Mymensingh to name a few there will be a huge number of investors coming to bangladesh. Also, people will not flock to Dhaka. Poeple will get work in the place where they already live. Leave dhaka as it is. I will say spending more money on dhaka is unwise except to secure people's safety. And the Indian who wants to make New Dhaka, for Allah's sake don't let it happen. Stop him! I foresee a huge blunder if this Indian is successful taking this mega project. These are my ideas.

Not if you consider the fact that present day NE India, West Bengal and Orissa belongs to BD and once the start feeling the pinch, they could simply invade the Indian chicken neck and take these areas from India...

Not really. How's real estate business faring in your country right now? It all again depends on how fast real estate market grows. Use it to boost your growth like how Dubai and even China do. Although Chinese method would not be so good an alternative.

I agree @Lighting_Fighter bro, we need to have massive investment in infrastructure projects and should move away from
Dhaka. Planned cities with modern urban facilities are a must. We at least need 10 more mega cities that can shelter 10million
people each and numerous satellite towns will pop up surrounding those cities. Gazipur could have been made something like
navi mumbai but we are too late on that. EEZ and indutrial zones can have seperate zones surrounding the cities and
safety and enviormental standards should be maintained. But for that we need visionary leaders not corrupt dalals who are
currently in power.

Yes, I agree that Bangladesh seriously need to be decentralized. It is just that the current political leadership we are stuck with do not want it, or just too lazy to implement anything.
