Deal with Musharraf to be humiliating for PPP:Khar
LondonâPPP leader Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar has said that all reports regarding a âdealâ between the PPP and General Musharraf were to create controversy through disinformation. There was no possibility of any such arrangement as âBenazir Bhutto was the daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and a genuine political leader who would never commit political suicide by making any sort of deal with a military dictatorâ.
He was talking to media persons after meeting with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the latterâs office here Friday.
The PPP leader said he would be seeking an early meeting with Benazir Bhutto to impress upon her the need to categorically rebut all disinformation in this regard as the cause of the Opposition was being undermined and there was confusion among the ranks of PPP workers.
He said any sort of deal with Musharraf would be humiliating and disastrous for the PPP.
The PML-N Chief said that there had been complete unanimity of views between him and Mr Khar regarding the prevailing political situation in Pakistan and the need to struggle for constitutional rule.
He said he had made it clear to Mr Khar that even talks with the âillegitimateâ regime was not possible for him.âOnline
