In the wake of revelations by French media organisation, Mediapart that the French government’s anti-corruption watchdog, Agence Francaise Anticorruption (AGA) had investigated alleged corruption and payoffs in the sale of 36 Rafale fighters to India, Dassault Aviation issued a statement denying wrongdoing.

The full text of the statement is as follows:

About Dassault Aviation and India

(Saint-Cloud, France, April 8, 2021)
– Faced with certain allegations reported in the press about the contract signed in 2016 with India for the supply of 36 Rafale combat aircraft, a Dassault Aviation spokesperson points out the following:

- Numerous controls are carried out by official organizations, including the French Anti- Corruption Agency. No violations were reported, notably in the frame of the contract with India for the acquisition of 36 Rafales.

- Dassault Aviation wishes to reiterate that it acts in strict compliance with the OECD Anti- Bribery Convention and national laws, in particular the law of December 9, 2016 known as Sapin 2.

- Since the early 2000s, Dassault Aviation has implemented strict internal procedures to prevent corruption, guaranteeing the integrity, ethics and reputation of the company in its industrial and commercial relations. In the context of the Sapin 2 law, the company has completed and strengthened its system for the prevention and detection of corruption and influence peddling, both at the level of the parent company and its subsidiaries.

- The contract with India for the acquisition of 36 Rafales has been established on a government-to-government basis. This contract, as well as the offsets corresponding contract, meet the criteria established by these regulations and are being executed in full transparency between the various government and industrial partners. The aircraft were delivered in respect of the schedule, despite the COVID-19 health crisis, and fully meet the security needs of the Indian authorities.

- Dassault Aviation and the Reliance Group established the Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd (DRAL) Joint Venture in 2017 and built a plant in Nagpur that has been producing numerous Falcon parts and pieces since 2018.

- Dassault Aviation and its partners are working with 60 companies in India and negotiations are underway to establish potential new cooperations.

Why wouldn't they, else they may be blacklisted like Augusta Westland. But the reality is modi and his ninihas scammed the nation of billions of dollars in this deals.

nothing new... ask me about their artillery fiasco.... during their bidding after their procurement and brass had their fair take; new govt comes in, our folks go here, the new players say... so you gave it to others so feed us as well..... our pockets were not deep so convinently we were labelled as attempting to bribe.

The specific bribe were given to an India broker gupta before 2013, Modi wasn't PM at that time. Still, this aircraft is overhyped n overpriced.

Modi has definitely taken money in this deal, price was inflated to give bribes to him and his minions. We got 90 aircraft less for the same money.

I hope you realize that Defsys Solutions is a company in Haryana that supplies defense equipment's to Indian Forces.

Its NOT a Shell company as most people are led to believe. Its a sub Contractor with 170 Employees.

"Based on a purchase order received from one of our clients, Dassault Aviation, we delivered on contract, 50, 1:10 replica models of Rafale aircraft, to Dassault Aviation," a Defsys spokesperson told India Today TV.

To support its claims, the company released copies of delivery challans, E-way bills and GST returns, associated with the order.

Also the real amount of the contact is 508,925 euros which works out to be Rs. 4.5 Crores.

Here are the FACTS,

Dassault issued a Purchase Order worth 508,925 euros to Defsys Solutions for 50 Rafale mockup that can be given to various VIP's as a Marketing strategy.

Defsys says it delivered the items, and fulfilled the conditions of the contract.

Sushen Gupta is one of the directors of Defsys Solutions and he is accused in Augusta Westland case and is NOT IN JAIL. He is out on Bail.

He may have been a.middleman then, but he is still a citizen of India and is entitled to earn a living. Its foolish to target a company because one of its director is an accused in a totally different case involving CONgress politicians.

Rafales are very capable fighters in fact all western fighters are good quality machines. Junk is what chinese make.

And about Tejas, we should work only and only on developing a decent turbofan engine, making an aircraft is no big deal. As of now all fighter projects should be scrapped and all the resources should be directed towards the engine program.
