If I say someone a Kalu or ching ping then I am calling it in an affectionate and teasing tone. Unlike others who say such terms to others thinking that skin color or facial features are related to racial superiority of one race over the other.

yeah i would let that other person decide how affectionate it is or how teasing it is.

i lived in Karachi for more than 2 decades. Its like mini Pakistan and trust me its not appreciated such attempt at humor or small talk.
