Two of China's numerous future UAVs, the Shenyang "Dark Sword" and the "Combat Eagle", have reportedly entered the design phase in 2009.
Shenyang "Darksword" is a stealth UCAV intended for defense against enemy fighters and precision strikes.
"Combat Eagle" UCAV is a strike plane designed for bombing and striking long-range targets.

However, this contradicts earlier reports that the Dark Sword and Combat Eagle UCAVs are already in flight testing phase.
