he has no sensitivity in his palms. My local dhaba cook can also grab anything out of his cooking oil pan. Also laborers working with mistry handling bricks have rough skin on there hands too.

Even the guy who works on nalka(bore) has to use rope to pump the soil out of the nalka pipe can grab the cobra mouth and get bit on his rough palm and still won't get the cobra's fangs embedded in his palm due to rough skin. It's no miracle, but some profession can cause your hands to be rough throughout the years of abuse.
