School history books in pakistan begin with the period when muhammad bin kasim invaded sindh. They do not teach their children about the rich cultural heritage during gandhar, taksh-shila, puru, samudragupt , harshvardhan etc.

welcome. Pakistanis are indian origin people that got converted in mass numbers due to fear of their lives during period of aurangzeb. However they like to beliveve that they are of arabi origin and their forefathers were disciples of holy prahfet and their fore fathers migrated to India along with Mohammad bin kasim and defeated timid hindus and occupied their land and renaming it pakistan. They think pakistan is situated in middile east to the south west of palestine.

They would prefer arabi over their regional mother tongue because they think it is the languagge that holy profet used so they must also use it by default. Anythinki that resemles India or indian value system must be severly discarded like Indian music is haram, Indian serials, indian festivals etc. Any pakistani if confronted and proven he is not arabi descent then he will settle for being of Afghani origin or irani origin but never of Indian origin.

In a nut shell pakistanis are a confused lot they are muslims because at some point of time their fore fathers chose to be muslim out of fear or allurement or by coercion or simply beccause they were opressed dalits. They now dont have any choice but to be muslim and defend islam. Appreciating their hindu origin dilutes their piousness of being pakistani.

Cultural inheritance from India is blasphemy of highest order.

Tariq would you like to celebrate the punjabi festival of Basant? Its not hindu festival after all it is a regional punjabi festival that your fore fathers used to clebrate back then and even now it is celebrated in some places of pakistan. Even if you are not a punjabi then being a pakistaini as per culturally precedent you should celebrate what your fellow punjabi brethern used to celebrate and even do now. Would you like to see Basant being celebrated as a national festival. Do you think it can identify itself with the idea of pakistan?

Sorry I dont agree, people started accepting Islam before the advent of Muhamad Bin Qassim a great Muslim general in Islamic History (may Allah give him High status among people in Jannah.) We all know that Subcontinent was deeply involved in cast system and low cast people were ignored and persecuted by Highest cast people. Islam spread through traders which wen to Subcontinent for trade. And when Islam arrive in Subcontinent people happily accepted Islam because Islam offered them peace and protection and equal status means no more cast.

Cheraman Mosque in todays Keralawas the first mosque in Subcontinent and built by Raja of Bhopal
and later he accepted Islam and this mosque was named after him.

So i dont c that Islam tht Islam advent in Subcontinent after arrival of Muhamad Bin Qassim
