Iran has an unfair advantage in any proxy war in Pakistan.

Pakistan in turn don't see value in a conflict with Iran.

Elements inside Iran are not friendly to CPEC. That is as much a Chinese problem as it is a Pakistani problem.

Tehran have some grievances (due to pak-SA, sectarian issues etc) but most importantly Pak-Iran border is very porous. So non-state people move tro and fro after carrying out terrorism.. be it Jandullah or Indian backed BLA, BRA etc.
Hope they get neutralised soon.
