The working on the ongoing project under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in South Punjab has been stopped today (Thursday) in a wake of coronavirus fear.

According to details, the screening process of 71 Chinese engineers and their security personnel is underway to diagnose anykind of virus in their bodies.

On the other hand, Chinese health authorities said there were 7,711 confirmed cases of infection, mostly in Hubei province where the death toll rose by 38 to 170.

Infections have been reported in at least 15 other countries and, with the appearance of the first case in Tibet, in every province and region of mainland China.

Also I want to make it clear that these headlines DON'T help, they spread panic and fear and will give rise to xenophobia. We don't have the quick testing kits to test for the virus, there is a shortage of supply globally.

About time. This is temporary. These will resume soon after virus out break is contained. Even china is struggling against it. Pakistan has no chance of survival against it.

So yea keep flights roads and ports closed for people comming in from china.

Those already in pakistan before november breakout should be ok. But ones who came into pakistan in december 2019 onwards should be isolated and tested. Both nationals pakistani and chinese.

This is for greater good of pakistan and china.
