Dude BD defence budget is rising rapidly as we speak. From the current 3 billion dollars a year it will hit 10 billion in a decade's time.

Myanmar is no threat but India is. BD over the long term needs an effective military that can deter India.

Expect modern frigates, submarines and even fifth generation fighters to be procured over the next decade.

2 sub is barely enough to lift blockade against any powerful navy.few good anti sub corvettes in place and sub activities will be threatened.but then again,no one is trying to blockade BD.forget India,even Myanmar will find it tough as BD has quite a good image in international arena.

our trade heavily depends on sea route, which means it has great impact on economy. that is why Bangladesh Navy has gotten primary focus in development program

Dude,have been seen what Myanmar Navy is upto recently.Your modernization trend does not hold a candle to what they are doing with their navy.Stealth Frigates,modern Corvettes etc
Forget about being a threat to India.In the next decade your country's Navy will be busy defending against an agrressive Myanmar

thats fine.I've no problem with Bangladesh's Armed Force.In Fact,a strong Armed Force only can ensure that your country never gets used as terrorist safe havens or can stop illegal migrations and all.but I'm tired of silly Anti Indian rhetoric.if these deals were against India's interest,India would block it,by hook or by crook.most members miss this part.
