Could Washington Support Balochistan separatism?

This is kept alive by Arabs who don't want "GWADAR PORT" and that is where the majority of BLA and other so-called separatist leadership resides nothing to do with the USA. Removing corrupt politicians and given proud and patriot Baloch their fair share will kill this issue. Instead, they are offering amnesty to TTP, and tomorrow we will blame TTP actions on someone else.

The real dangers to Pakistan are all totally internal: overpopulation, lack of resources specially water, failing governance, and a lack of social development.

Now did they draw them with crayons or hard ink was used? The only slippery one here is you, their help during these conflicts and open support to Pakistan on Kashmir cause is well documented

Taken from Google: Iran played an important role in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, providing Pakistan with nurses, medical supplies, and a gift of 5,000 tons of petroleum. ... Iran again played a vital role for Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, this time supplying military equipment as well as diplomatic support against India.
Iran drew up plans in the 70s to take balochistan. This was due to the support of the MB terrorists in East Pakistan
They thought if such support is given to terrorists can seperate a country then the same can be done to their balochistan and ours. Hence why plans were drawn up to take our side of balochistan should pakistan be unable to fight off the insurgency that was already happening. Such a move was not made.

They cannot be trusted. Especially todays iranian govt

All leaders of BLA and BRA are sitting in West. If they are not supporting then they are not stopping it as well. Being idle is as good as enabling especially if west is harboring insurgency leaders.

All the more reason Pakistan needs a savvy foreign policy, a stable, strong, and rapidly growing economy, as well as a strong Marine corps and navy to police the coastal waters and coastal areas.

but the five most effective short term things Pakistan can do, IMHO, are

1. Complete the border fence and fort system along both the Afghan and Iranians borders and prevent movement of people except through official checkpoints in a safe manner
2. Create a three way anti-terror committee between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. So militants can’t hid in the other nation to the best of the ability of the respective government
3. Register all gun owners in Baluchistan and confiscate heavy weapons if found like machine guns and RPGs
4. Increase privately funded development in Baluchistan if the government is unable to afford development right now
5. Modernize the FC with modern signals intelligence capabilities and give them MRAPs and dedicated air support ; perhaps buy humvees, ah-6 to be refurbished for the FC and the comms gear captured by the Afghans

with these reforms; any suspicious person moving into Baluchistan should be detected and dealt within the law; legitimate grievances addressed and miscreants punished

Since it's a crusade against Muslims as said by jw bush , it should be stopped by US otherwise should be retaliated by all means, if you negotiate with USA the only language they understand is power or fight against them till they runaway from you, eg Vietnam Korea Cuba and Afghanistan, the rants of USA do more do more for peanuts is not going to end, instead of killing Muslims for the interests of USA it's better to die or fight respectfully, coming to negotiations with USA tell me which of the problems USA have solved for Muslims rightly and justice fully by negotiations?, Palestine , Kashmir , nakorna karabakh, Cyprus, eritarria, Sudan, Iraq, Libya, sirya etc, what have Sam done?infact USA first supported jehad then endorsed jehad with in Islam now a direct crusade against Muslims, it's america who needs to revisit his policies and announce ceasefire and stop convert crusades against Muslims , on the name of democracy human rights terrorism etc,
Please allow me to explain some of these conflicts.

1. It was in the best interest of both Pakistan and USA to dismantle Al-Qaeda Network in the region. Pervez Musharraf understood the obvious. I highlighted this theme on a consistent basis in this forum as well. American mission in Afghanistan made sense in this respect.

But Iran and India had their own designs for Afghanistan as well. Proxy warfare claims and mistrust became a common theme at some point. American attempts to soften both TTP and ISIS-K were overshadowed by other concerns in Pakistani discourses. Americans felt trapped and opted out under Trump administration. Many Pakistani called for USA to be ousted from Afghanistan as well? Our current PM Imran Khan was also vocal against American occupation of Afghanistan.

Pakistan will have to fight and address regional terrorism on its own now. Perhaps this is for the best.

Complaints for the sake of complaints have no value.

2. Vietnam was abandoned because South Vietnamese were corrupt and could not fight.

Americans experienced similar problem in Afghanistan. Afghan politicians championed by Americans were up to no good with the exception of Abdullah Abdullah. The ANDSF refused to fight for the corrupt Ghani regime and fell apart in view of the unconditional withdrawal decree from Biden administration.

Ashraf Ghani had no principles to begin with; he was willing to court even the likes of ISIS-K for opposing the Afghan Taliban. Imagine this.

Vietnam is stable and COOL with USA lately. Fair enough.

3. USA did not abandon South Korea but liberated it. South Korea is a flourishing economy and a success story of American Policy for the Korean Peninsula.

4. USA never invaded Cuba and have little interest in this country. The Bay of Pigs intervention was in support of the Cuban Exiles who failed to deliver when the time came. Therefore.

5. American effort to reboot the Political Landscape of Iraq was a BAD decision without any doubt. American Neocons felt that Iraq was unfinished business after 1991. The lesser known (and discussed) fact is that there were some Iraqi politicians and influential figures who were also among the Architects of American intervention in Iraq.

Google Chilcot Inquiry.

The lesson in this case is not to create a conflict in a region for the sake of it. Many countries have political dissidents - best to leave them to their own devices.

6. Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is addressed. This might surprise you but Israel supported Azerbaijan in this conflict and Israeli technologies proved useful in defeating some of the best Russian-origin defenses of Armenia.

7. Greece and Turkey have claims over Cyprus. Both Greece and Turkey are NATO member states as well.

How USA may FIX this problem? Any ideas?

8. Palestine and Kashmir are respective byproducts of the colonial arrangements of the British Empire at the time of its FALL. The British should have addressed these conflicts in the 1940s.

How these two conflicts shall be addressed? Any ideas?

9. Sudan was in the state of a Civil War and split in two in 2011 consequently.

South Sudan have problems of it own in fact.

Just have a look at the headlines featuring Sudan. You will be like "stay away from this region."

10. Eritreia and Ethopia have a border dispute.

How is this American problem?

11. France is responsible for ruining Libya to large extent; another tragedy of unwarranted Foreign intervention.

On the flip side, Colonel Gaddafi had ruled over Libya for too long. He underestimated the political dissent of Benghazi and it created circumstances for his downfall eventually.

12. Syria is in turmoil due to heavy-handed tactics of the Assad administration in large part. Other entities made inroads in Syria by taking advantage of the Syrian turmoil.

Syria is now a Banana Republic; congratulations to Mr. Bashar al-Assad.

My POV is following:

USA should not be a Party in every manner of regional dispute and episode of political crisis around the world. If USA does not have a solution for a regional dispute, it should stay away from it.

As for the topic, Michael Rubin is an idiot.

Pakistan should Fence its border with Iran in any case. I have reiterated this time-and-again.

this is indian lobby at work. the good thing is india will lead their white yankee masters on another goose chase.

What haven’t they been doing so far to hurt Pak by all means?!? They have exhausted almost all options! Hence they’re super frustrated now….

Pakistan should support the Sikhs for only when the Sikhs are independent, can Kashmir's freedom be achieved.

National Interest is strategic-defense news for the lowest intellectual cadre, some here are still missing the point, it is not about the covert support (CIA in Afghanistan supporting BLA) but open diplomatic support, in order for US to do something like this they have to completely write off any relationship with Pakistan. This is just a non-starter, gist is that if Trump didnt do it, no one else will do this.

I've seen maps of Pakistan online, where it was cut into pieces and only two of its states / provinces made up of the country. I foresaw these issues coming up and thus, continued to write about Pakistan needing a strong foreign policy and direct contact with the US to work things out by putting mutual interests on the table.
That may be an American dream (yes pun is intended).

Just Pashtunistan was a US and India dream. But problem is US takes it's cues on Pakistan and Afghanistan from India. Which itself knows the area well on a superficial level but it's easy to counter their strategies in an indigenous and holistic manner.

USA have always supported Pakistan in its war on terror within the boundaries of Pakistan and encouraged them to fight against the factions who talks about independence. They recognise the current geographical boundaries of Pakistan including the dispute of Kashmir so I think breaking up Pakistan is a dream of fanboys but not going to happen.

That's a load of crap unfortunately, there were times when Pakistan has solid intel but needed some satellite support to conform few targets, US outright denied those, the time they agreed those positions had become vacant, and some very important people had escaped to Afghanistan.

so please don't start with this fairytale of US supporting Pakistan on WOT, they have not, and they WILL not. everything Pakistan has achieved in this WOT it has paid with its blood, more then you think or know. in this we are alone, that's how it has been, and that's how it will be.

btw did you knew when Pakistan needed Cobra helos for COIN operation, and we needed them dearly , US blocked its sale ???

"national interest" is covert lobbying source of India and getting heavy funding in aim of promoting Indian opinion in United States.

Dear brother I appreciate your input, but with respect I differ from it, long term conflicts in hostile regime even in distant
friends suit super powers , hybrid warfare is the mechanism of igniting such wars. How jehadies were good and Angels against Russia but are Satan against USA, . Do you believe jihad with in Islam is not american idea? Do you believe WMD in Iraq wasn't a made up story, how come democracy in third world and communist countries is a matter of law and human rights for USA but Monarchy in UAE KSE is darling of Sam , same democracy is unacceptable for USA when people's of Algeria and Egypt select akhwan democratically, these all Darams are tools of hybrid warfare, infact biggest threat which american consider is nothing else but a practical Islam, thats why they destroyed the Turk khalifate in WW1 occupied and distributed Muslim world as piece of cakes some pieces were occupied by France UK Spain Italy etc who was supporting them? and why the Sharif e mecca was betrayed by queen, were they doing this to support muslim or they were behind the hidden oil in deserts, it's a crusade against Muslims which is going on and will continue till the day of judgement, but more they conspire against Islam more people of world will study it , Allah Has his own plans , American establishment is mass murderer unethical and worshiper of dark forces , please forgive me if I made some grammatical mistakes because my English is not as good as yours,

Soon USA announces such thing, Pakistan should and I hope will start full swing military support to IOK and put the peace of whole world at stake , it seems a suicidal idea but this is the only way to stop the evil from it's dirty tricks, Pakistan is on its way to accumulate more than 1000 atomic war heads which will bring Pakistan to deter such ambitious plans without using the, but first Pakistan have to tackle its own poor governance and corrupt mafias to make economy strong, never ending wars and conflicts suit Americans but just give them mother of all wars if they don't stop their crusades, this is the only deterrence, make them feared instead of fearing from them and this is only possible when the generals sitting in GHQ decided to embrace martyrdom instead of letting the general service men to lay their lives fighting the proxeis, izat ki maout zilaat ki Zindagi sy behtar hy, this should be new PA and Pakistan slogan ,
The biggest threat to Pakistan is internal. If we remove the snakes amongst us we can survive. Unfortunately the snakes are in all rungs of our society and removing them will be hard.
