Problem is simple
30-40% tax on electricity bill and deal clauses which ensure profitability in cents rather than rupees even if the loans were sourced in rupees or local financing

I wonder why these claims do not match the situation on the ground.

But God forbid if you even dare to question CPEC outcomes in the country. This is HOLY work.

USA should be bashed at each and every opportunity instead - this will serve Pakistan well in the long term. Americans lie and talk nonsense all the time - US has not transformed human lives, Pakistan has. The world should look up to Pakistan for guidance and wisdom in terms of how to develop the country.

Chinese investments in Pakistan would be well-intentioned and welcome. But Khooni Nooni are desperate to show big projects to the masses - I do not expect from Khooni Nooni to approve projects that are in the best interests of the country.

Capacity payments are a major chunk, but so are T&D losses and theft.

This is all due to expensive powerstation deals signed by ppp and pmln which we are now reaping .

And they blamed IK and the PTI for “slowing down CPEC” and asking how this is going to be paid.

At the very least they could have tied payment to industrialization with the Chinese; shared risk and shared reward. But the risk if all on the common Pakistani and the reward is to the embezzlers. The companies that built the projects are blameless, they built it on the terms agreed upon, but they shows the incompetence neigh the malfeasance of those that negotiated the “CPEC” deals without getting a viable “corridor” out of it.

But to be fair, the case of inflated bills has much more to do with our nalayeqi as well.

Many people that can’t pay are gonna steal to survive or maintain some level of normalcy. Re-Industrialization was suppose to absorb the new electricity production, and the taxes from those more profitable ventures was suppose to make it possible to pay for better transmission infrastructure and eventually lower costs.
