We have done nothing to stop the pilgrims from going to and back from Iran, why are we surprised on increasing cases of corona? Those who are at the helm including PM Khan should be ashamed of themselves for doing such a pathetic job. I had said it before if establishment isnt letting you do your job than simply state so and step down. At least we would know why you left. There was pressure from the Shia community hidden in high ranks within the army and bureaucracy which forced the authorities specially CM Balochistan to keep the border open. These traitors need to be brought to Justice.

Shia or not, Stupid government should have locked doors for anyone going/coming from iran immediately when Epidemic was reported there, but till last week, everything was going openly, no measures.
And now all have to suffer...

LAHORE: The number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Pakistan rose to 212 after Sindh and Punjab both announced 17 and eight new cases respectively on Tuesday.

Punjab ministers Yasmin Rashid and Fayyaz-ul-Hasan Chohan addressed a press conference on Tuesday, where they said that the number of coronavirus patients in Punjab has risen to eight.

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that 736 people in Dera Ghazi Khan have been under observation after they came from Taftan. Eight new cases were confirmed among those in quarantine in DG Khan, she said.

Sindh tally reaches 172

The total number of coronavirus patients in the province rose to 172 on Tuesday after 17 new cases of the infection were reported in the province, Sindh government representative Murtaza Wahab confirmed.

Taking to Twitter, the chief minister's adviser on law stated that 134 pilgrims in Sukkar who arrived from Taftan had tested positive for the virus while 140 had tested negative.

Among the 17 new coronavirus cases, two are residents of Karachi while 15 arrived in Sukkur from Karachi.

In Karachi, the affected toll rose to 37 while one coronavirus case was reported from Hyderabad.

Five new cases were reported in the province earlier today, taking the tally from 150 to 155. However, 17 new cases emerged, taking the toll to 172 throughout the province.

This takes the national affected persons toll to 210 from 193.

Globally, 158 countries have been affected, more than 6,500 people have died and more than 170,000 infected by the disease called 'COVID-19' as it spreads rapidly to new territories.

The epicentre of the outbreak has now shifted to Europe, which is recording a rapid rise in new cases every day.

Correction: An earlier version of this story had stated that Pakistan had reported its first death from coronavirus. But due to conflicting reports of the circumstances surrounding the death, we are, for the time being withdrawing the report and waiting for confirmation.

US is almost close. It is very expensive test and poor countries has only one solution, which is avoid public contact. Even hospitals in North America are not dealing with cases. Corona can enter from anywhere , it too bad it enter from Iran or Afghanistan or through international flights from London via Dubai, every day number of flights come from Middle East, thousands travel weekly for work in ME . It can be from anywhere

You have two roads, you are driving a car, both are unsuitable for driving, one is filled with nails and screws (returning from iran) and the other with rocks (returning from non-epidemic countries). Both are harmful but the one with nails is assured destruction of wheel. This is what is the case, you should just stop right there if you think that i am saying anything “agAinSt irAN” because i am not and i am talking about facts that iran has been hit badly by this virus. If you by ay chance have any allegiances lying there, you can take my statement as you like it to be, but truth is truth...

They already quarantine on border camps. Let them have choice of nature.. if survive well and good , if not then will of god.

Border is not my concern, Airports are but until now. Airports were run still, till last week, without any screening, many people i know who came to Pak, complained and were astonished to see this sort of foolish behavior of government and respected authorities...

Nothing positive has come to Pakistan from Iran.

Govt. should have built quarantine centers, when virus broke loose in Wuhan.
It all got fucked-up when PM was advised leave the kids out there in cold, it's their problem.
Sane advises at that time were ridiculed by the power full mafia.
See the problem of Pakistan? If you are a mafia, you can bull doze even immigration control, but if you are individual immigration will ask you zillion questions, even if you are travelling to Timbuktu.
