They are Asking for Protective Gear (Hazmat suits) and masks nothing wrong with it you cant expect them to work with out them they will be on the front lines in any case and would be the first to get infected. I know our hospitals the administration there is inept. Infection Prevention and Control is almost non existent. I have over the years lost count of how many Hospital Acquired infections i have had. Give them whatever gear they are asking for if they still do it deal with them with an Iron fist.

I feel the same way. After Kulbushan Yadav, Chahbahar, Afghan/BLA terrorism, Indian alliance, Qasem Sulemani threats, and now Coronavirus.

Nothing positive has come to Pakistan from Iran.

why doesn't the government do the right thing and give all the control for the war against corona virus to the armed forces

there could be a figure head committee headed by the PM and some of his incompetent ministers, but all in all an armed forces run operation.

how many have to die needlessly before the government realises this simple fact?

please don't get me wrong, I believe that democracy is the way forward but years of political hiring and celebration of incompetence has made our politicians and institutions weak. at this point we need military discipline to solve this crisis.

Prime Minister's speech was very disappointing, to say the least. There was no vision, no plan, no guidelines and how they are going to control this outbreak. He categorically rejected shutting down of the cities because of poverty, but I hope I am wrong, but he will be forced to shut down the cities if this thing gets out of control, which it might will, looking at the slow response.

A country where PM /CM can hire fire people within institutes, is called banana republic.
Independent institutes are basic ingredient of sold foundation upon which progress can be constructed, slowly but steadily.
