The Army should start setting up field hospitals (at least one in each city) just in case the case numbers spike all of a sudden. Propositioning oxygen supplies, ventilators, drug supplies, trained staff, etc.

it may take a few weeks to be up an ready, and the worry is as India’s variants spread, they will cross the border in a big way, and overwhelm Pakistan as well, in the next couple of weeks; by Eid.

Rapid Testing at airports, seaports, and border crossings of symptomatic travelers should be a must, not just travelers from India.

Proper COVID quarantine locations (just outside of towns, preferably near the airports) should be arranged as well. So that it’s not an ad hoc situation.

There is a possibility it has already arrived, a week or two back 800 Sikh Pilgrims had came to perform their religious stuff, they were all tested when they entered however there was no quarantine. Worse still, they were also allowed to visit Lahore to explore the city despite it being against SOP. When they returned at least 200-300 tested positive in India, One can only hope that the Indian Variant hasn't already arrived. Given the fact that it has reached places like Switzerland already, it's an even more frightening and realistic possibility.

Thank you. My mistake. Although are there field hospital of similar capacity in each of our major cities. Also, the situation in India is expected to be two to three fold worse in the next 2-3 weeks. Are there plans for expansion of our capacity (land reserved to build an extension) should the need arise?

We need to contact trace the areas all visitors (coming for at least the last two months) from India have gone.

I as well fear the variants have crossed the border and maybe spreading throughout our country.
