credit goes to Allah almighty. we didnt do much right. corona was a clear warning and its decline is clearly rahmat of Allah. He warned us and tested us that who did jihad through his wealth in this crisis and who made more wealth by benefitting from the miseries of the people. He has reminded us that He exists and despite all the advancement in the science and technology we are nothing in front of Him rather the "pharoahs" of today are still going through hard times. science and technology is essential for progress of mankind but the problem arises when human starts to worship it as a god. now He seems to be taking off the hard times and He will see what we will do. whether we will do "shukar" and mend our ways or we will revert back to our materiaistic path on which we were going on before the pandemic.

That too brother, like you said is the most important. Allah Almighty has indeed spared us the worst. But the whole nation has also done some right with a whole lot of wrong.

Survived Covid Pneumonia last month. Under post-recovery rest at home now. It's a terrible illness.Contacted it though I was usually very very careful. Avoided going out for even the grocery (ordered online and sanitized every box before opening). As fate had it, my uncle passed away who raised me after the death of my father 20 years ago, so it was like a great great and untimely loss for me. Attended his funeral (with some precautions) but got infected (probably there, can't be sure)

I wish this pandemic dies its own death as I saw hospitals with so many people suffering. Doctors and paramedics are doing a great job. Sorry if I have interrupted any ongoing discussion but I just needed to rant a bit.

WhT do u mean by only 20 k tests? Why u always try to spread negativity? U want that govt should spend billions in testings just to make some morons happy despite the fact that the ratio of positive cases are mere 4% now?

US donates 100 more ventilators to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The United States government donated 100 more ventilators to support Pakistan in its fight against coronavirus on Friday.

According to a National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) spokesperson, out of 100 donated ventilators, 27 were given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 26 to Sindh, 23 to Punjab, 13 to Balochistan, six to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and five were given to Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Earlier on July 3, the US donated a shipment of 100 “brand-new, state-of-the-art” ventilators to support Pakistan in its fight against the pandemic.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Paul Jones handed over the US-made ventilators to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal in a ceremony held in Islamabad.

Addressing the USAID ventilators handing over ceremony in Islamabad, the NDMA chairman said that the government was upgrading hospitals across the country to facilitate Covid-19 patients. He further said that additional ventilators and beds were installed in the hospitals across the country.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Paul Jones said that the US stands with Pakistan in its fight against coronavirus. “These American-made ventilators will help Pakistani patients in the most acute need of medical care,” he said.
