I strongly believe bangladesh is a potential threat to India.
Probably not now, since it is too small n poor , but in the coming years, when Islamists will become more strong and then hatred would become a state policy, it might become a pain in the back for India.
Good to see that Indian authorities have sensed the threat and are working on it.

It is so funny how people like you always want to remain diluted with idea like we are rich and we are no. 1 with this sort of thought... there is no medicine for this...your country was always poor and had less per capita gdp then bd up to 71... only in 71 bd got a set back due to the war... n india got the chance to have a higher per capita gdp then bd.... when US, Canada has a per capita gdp of around 45000 USD and india has around 1200 USD ... this is funny how people like you think yourself rich... bd now has a per capita gdp of 751 USD... as addressed by the president ... and bangladesh is picking up the growth rate.. due to liberation war bangladesh lagged behind bd by 15 years...but bd has the potential if it can work properly it will be developed country earlier then India...as a big poor country with poor population bigger then 26 sub saharan country... India will need much longer time then pakistan and bangladesh to transform in to developed country..

n in bd no 1 needs to be islamist to proclaim islam... keep this stuff in your mind... you thought that bd will be a vessel or client state of India.. but this is never gonna happen.. no bd people will ever tolerate any hegemonic intention of India...n remember 1 thing India needs bd more then bd needs India and your fate of NE india depends of Bangladesh...

whats abt the letter ... is that also a conspiracy theory??? Why she wanted to interfere in the internal matter of bd by requesting to release a criminal who was behind the vandalism in the garment sector???

And I sincerely wish the underpaid garment workers 'duly' protest and get their rightful pay.

All nations must support the poor Bangladeshi garment workers in this.

Writers, human right activists pressurise govt all the time. And they dont do only within their own country. Take for example Binayak Sen. Indian court gave him life sentence, and the writers of whole world(including India) are up in arms.
Even a delegation from EU came to see the proceeding.

I am not saying the guy is a saint, am just saying it is normal for writers, poets, activists to use peaceful means to protest, or associate themselves with a cause. Nothing new.

Prof Yunus, openly asks India to reform microcredit sector, should we take it as interference then? I am sure he does with with good motive of supporting poor(Indian poor, that is)

All these vandalism occurred even after trade union leader accepted the new hike of the pay... which is almost double then the previous wage...

asking for reform is one thing and supporting a criminal who was behind destruction of 100s of garment factory in bangladesh is another issue... when majority of the bangladeshi people think India is behind all these vandalism to destroy bd garment sector then what this letter will mean to the bd people..???

India should see the future. It should not depend upon AL alone. It should nurture a good realtionship with any BD govt. Failing to do so, there is a possibility that the fanatics will gain strength. India's policy to get free transit out of AL govt is also short-sighted.

It will just have a boomerang effect and will jeopardize the BD-India relationship in the long run. People are watching every step the AL govt is taking now to please its mentor in Delhi. AL is short-sighted, but India cannot afford to be short sighted. It will lose heavily in that case.

Our people should know that by giving India such and such facilities, BD is gaining such and such thing. However, BD people do not think they are getting anything.
