India should see the future. It should not depend upon AL alone. It should nurture a good realtionship with any BD govt. Failing to do so, there is a possibility that the fanatics will gain strength. India's policy to get free transit out of AL govt is also short-sighted.

It will just have a boomerang effect and will jeopardize the BD-India relationship in the long run. People are watching every step the AL govt is taking now to please its mentor in Delhi. AL is short-sighted, but India cannot afford to be short sighted. It will lose heavily in that case.

Our people should know that by giving India such and such facilities, BD is gaining such and such thing. However, BD people do not think they are getting anything.

It is the responsibility of the govt of the day to sell the idea of friendship or any agreement with foreign country. Which means GOI will sell the idea to people of India and BD govt will do for BD people.
GOI has not faced any opposition from Indian public which means it has done its job.
If there is lot of opposition from BD people, then BD govt is not doing its job properly. You should consider changing it then.

I agree, GOI by completely disregarding BNP is doing no good to India, we should talk to opposition too. not only the party in power.

Human right activists don't represent their countries often because they blame the administration and often try to protect individuals. Your 'vandal' is one such guy. For GOI he is too insignificant. And Gomes too is an insignificant figure, a tainted human rights activist according to your article. I dont understand how this became a vs India thread.

It is understandable if Mahasweta Devi wanted her letter to BD PM to be public. It just happened that Gomes also got it. WTH is wrong with that?

Besides Moshrefa Mishu seems to be fighting for worker's rights an she is the president of one of the unions. DO you think she became president without much support? Why a [MOD EDIT] needs to write a letter to the prime minister of bangladesh to free the main criminal of all the vandalism in the garment sector of bangladesh... I have found the article accidentally but these gave a clear view how a big conspiracy is going on against bangladesh....I am also surprised to see the letter and the language which was used to address the PM of bangladesh... it was as if that bharatis has a birth right to demand the release of mishu who is responsible for all the vandalism... in the RMG sector...

I now understand what exactly happened after a lil bit of research. Actually both you guys are on the same side lol. William Gomes is an alias may be even a fake journalist trying to create false news attributed to the labor rights activist. Mahasweta Devi is just trying to get justice for the activist. Gomes tried to include her letter in his cause. The activist Moshefa is charged but not proved as guilty yet. She is a hero atleast for some people. Leftist parties usually throw their weight around human rights organisations which also attract intellectuals and writers.


@Sami: For some reason the author of thee lead article sounds like an ultra capitalist. May be this is blinding his judgement. Moshefa seems to be fighting for workers rights indeed.
Btw do you really think an 85 year old woman is interested in belittling BD? I will be surprised if your PM even read the letter.
