BHOPAL: Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh was skewered on social media today after he described Kashmir as "India-occupied Kashmir" while criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statements on Pakistan.

"Prime Minister Modi seems more concerned about Azad Kashmir, which is welcome, than he is interested in holding talks with India's Kashmiris," Mr Singh told reporters in New Delhi.

"Boosting trust among Kashmiris, whether they belong to Azad Kashmir or India-occupied Kashmir, is possible only through dialogue," he said.

The Congress General Secretary later corrected himself by saying he only meant that PM Modi is not worried about "India's Kashmir -- not worried about the valley -- but worried about Pak-occupied Kashmir".

Mr Singh's remark invited immediate reactions on social media with many demanding an apology.

Diggy Raja can't be wrong, though he seems pretty occupied

Digvijay Singh - In India he is called the Doggy Vijay Singh at times because he is like that mutt dog you have outside your door whom you feed from time to time. So sometimes, when few other folks are in the street - with whom you have no business, he starts barking and barking mad - as if he owns the street and all the houses in it.

There you see, that is his very defintion. No one in the congress leadership will utter a word about the whole India-Pakistan drama going on lately, but Doggy Vijay Singh will bark.

Then later he silenced his conscience

He doesn't have a conscience to begin with. Did you look at the pictures just posted? He is a typical philandering dimwit.

Seriously he is known to make gaffes and fool out of himself time after time.....a slip of tongue is quite a minor thing in this context.

lolzzz mate,

you mixed two things here. China is not a party here and it is by news website, not by a member of parliament or their govt official.
True. China WASN'T a party to all this until Someone decided to gift her some Kashmir.
