Sindh is a Province in Pakistan. If you really want to reconnect with your roots, visit Pakistan. If you feel closer to india - I dont know what stops you from going to india. You sure wont have access to Sindh though if you opt for the latter.

Pakistan is a closed chapter. If you hear from any relatives, count them lucky, but otherwise it's along time and the past is no longer present today. If you want to help present generation Sindhis who continue to emigrate to India, let me know.

partly correct. The Punjabis and Sindhis are very Indian and form 56%+ of the total population. Add the Serakis which I think is another 10%? And 70% of languages spoken are from the Indian side of the Indo-Iranian family.

Some Pakistanis do deny their Indian origin thus insulting their own anscestors! Why be ashamed of ones own parentage?

Indian is a modern concept of nationality created in 1947. Before that we were 'nations' of separate but related people. So no, we are not 'Indian', since as I said, Indian is one who is a citizen of the modern state of India. And if you are going to break it down in to numbers, then according to your own statistics the majority of Indians have nothing to do with Pakistanis as the Punjabis and Sindhis in India are a minority not even going above 5% of the population.

As for your question, I would be very careful about visiting currently as there are huge problems with kidnapping etc. Add the mullah mix and you have a recipe for a disaster. If you do intent to visit, just keep hush about who you tell what. Trust no one.

Outside of Sindh is quite peaceful and open-minded. These are agrarian people who wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning (when everyone else is asleep) to do their farming or industry work all day. That's their main focus. I could be wrong though, hope I'm not. Haven't been down south since 2009!

Bhai I don't know where you live but even the interior Sindh towns and cities are increasingly becoming lawless. Travellers are getting robbed in broad day light on highways. As for Karachi, I would advice to avoid unless you have planned everything in advance down to who you tell about where you are coming from.

I know the average person is very tolerant, Sindhis in general are very tolerant and open minded people. I was warmly received when I visited interior Sindh. I'm just advising caution.

With that in mind carving out a homeland for them out of Pakistan is laughable but I do agree that nothing is permanent. Just look at IOK a 70% Muslim majority being ruled by hindutva clowns, now their separation is a whole lot more likely. I suggest you always keep a bag packed especially if that is your picture in your display as there is a good bet nepali squatters won't be welcome in Kashmir when that day comes.

Yes, I'm a Pakistani Hindu and my take on the issue is similar to yours and other Pakistani brothers/sisters. As you have correctly pointed out, our founding fathers made sacrifices for our beloved Pakistan. We didn't get our motherland for free. Our grandfathers and great grandfathers shed their tears and blood for this soil. We did this because we needed our own home. A home which wouldn't discriminate and treat others as second class citizens. Our founding fathers made no distinction in race, colour or creed. The abundant speeches of our beloved and respected Quaid are a well-documented testimony of this fact. In short, Pakistan was created for a very noble cause. Pakistan is supposed to be a democratic Islamic state that tolerates all its inhabitants. At the same time, Pakistan is meant to be a progressive and a developed state which is supposed to cater for its citizens. That's my take on Pakistan as a Pakistani Hindu. I firmly believe in this Pakistan. We will struggle till our last breath to achieve this goal.
