Comparison| Pakistani,Iranian,Afghan,Indian,Bangali food.

Just use Hyderabadi biryani masala:lol: I use the one by Shaan Masala, its a Pakistani brand i think.

Is there a hyderabadi biryani masala also by Shaan? Wow..I never saw it..We also sometimes use Shaan masalas..but I've seen bombay biryani, sindhi biryani, karachi beef biryani, pilau biryani by Shaan but never saw hyderbabadi biryani masala..or maybe I missed it..but there are some masalas which are for export only..Like my sis who is in America..she said sometime back tht there are some masalas like Golgappy water masala by Shaan in US..but at tht time...we didnt have it here in Pakistan..I dont know if we get it now here in Pak or not..but I prefer cooking by home made masala rather than using any brand of ready made spices

Packed Masala fails many times to give authentic taste.

True... thts why i prefer cooking by home made masala...if i get any authentic recipe...rather using packed masalas.....

Hyderabadi Biryani is incomplete without Mirchi ka salan(prepared using less hot thick green chillis and peanuts). In restaurant Hyderabadi Biryani is served with sliced onion and Lemon, Mirchi ka salan, dahi or raita(containing cucumber etc.)

I went to a Sindhi friend's house yesterday, his wife made some awesome Sindhi Curry. Something I'd never had before.

^ Looked like this except it had chopped ears of corn as well as mirch pakoras on the side.

To Pakistani members - what is the best drink which goes with Karahis and Niharis? Personally I think a bottle of chilled Limca is the best combination.
