SYDNEY
: Communications between on-field officials and TV umpires at the World Cup will be aired on television from this week's quarter-finals, the International Cricket Council said Tuesday.

The decision covers umpire referrals, consultations and DRS player reviews and follows a trial during the one-day series between Australia and South Africa in November last year.

“TV umpire communications during decision-making will be available to the host broadcaster to put to air for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the World Cup which will be played between 18 and 29 March,” said an ICC statement.

good decision overall.

This pronouncement will not only add fun part in the decision making but most importantly it will enhance fairness in the umpiring standards. Despite of utilizing high technology to facilitate umpiring, we have seen some awful decisions by umpires in the recent past.
