It's not that easy... When you know that Many ISIS tweeps were at their 200s account...
And filtering by "Words" wasn't good enough... Since basically anyone was reporting...
In the end...it was a game of cat and mouse...
Pure Provocation like "Abu Yahaya 185th account. Come get me Twitter" and he was followed by thousands in few hours... and so on...

Mate, you don't know how genius these guys are ...if they really want... it is nothing for them...writing a few lines of code..I mean even google search reveals so much.

Code can't resolve everything.
Twitter "Great CLeaning" wasn't made by code but by Extra Thousands of paid "cleaners" and Virtual militias... Yes it's a thing.
I remember, they begun to appear at the early stage of ISIS... Where they were reporting any "JihadiJoe" to twitter... The problem Twitter at that time couldn't see the "Future" consequences of ISIS Influence...
It' s like Today with White Nationalist... Where Twitter and others took too long to start banning those voices aka Infowars etc... It's the same thing...

Twitter can't go deleting what they want without suffering from tarnishing their image of "Public Voices/Open for all"
That's why they waited till "Something" gave them the "excuse" to act...

Well, I can understand to some extent.. at that time AI was not that developed but still a tool gives you a very condensed short list, sorted in a pattern you want and then you can use a few humans for final verdict..though now IA based software can take a decision as well.

Even if an IA can take decision by herself according to variables... The next Question coming is "What do you define as not good or Good to keep/Delete?"
Today a post could be harmful...and tmrow we see that it has fueled X attacks... or did nothing.

So how can you prevent that? Human themselves can't, IA even less.
Restriction of speech come with a condition... And that condition is different btw ages...

In the End, you can't totally block X or Y ideology, even if they are hateful... Since for one side it's Free speech and the other it's Hate... 2 sides of the same coin...

Really, they tried quite a few trick but Alhamdulillah GHQ didn't take the bait...I think we learned our lesson from the Lal Masjid fiasco. How media was provoking Mushy until he bit the bait and then we saw what happened. But this was on a much bigger scale. That's why I say ban twitter and fb...China has done it for some good reasons.

In the case of Mushy he deliberately let things escalate for his own selfish and nefarious self-interest, i truly hate the swine for his actions regarding top secret info vis a vis nuclear program and the Lal Masjid fiasco which could have easily and I mean easily been prevented.Kudos bhai

On the whole this govt/state have resolved this situation in a pretty good way...despite we got a lot damage to the property but not a single drop of blood in the whole country was shed...and that's remarkable.. I'm in fact authoring an article and will post it soon...

Totally concur, for some who expect all Rizvi and his goons to be locked up need to realise this is not a zero sum game, that their is plenty of grey areas, the govt did a great job, only criticism is they should have gone after twitter and fb more robustly from the inception of this crisis.Kudos bhai

Some people were really blood thirsty like vultures. Rizvi is an idiot and at times provides free entertainment like his solution for economy and medical expertise for the treatment of his own kidneys ... What I find repulsive about him is the abusive language he uses while claiming to be a scholar.. rest his threats are empty and carry no weight and agencies know it better than us and they know how to deal with it. BTW the threats were uttered by Maulvi Afzal Qadri who is a patwari... agencies are on him and he will be neutralised and also the people behind his words.
There was another sword bearing wannabe khattak dancer..quite a character also got arrested.. These people can be neutralised through education and bringing proper scholarship on top.
