It's a mere eyewash.

They, with some culprits named didn't visited to console her, and show compassion with Arshad Sharif, rather they visited to put their point across and kind of coerce her and the elder daughter of Arshad Sharif Shaheed.

They haven't learned, or backtracked. And think that COAS being a 'Hafiz' was overplayed to give some sombre calming effect to the public. A kind of PR campaign.

The advantage, this new Haraami has, is that IK/PTI can't say something openly against him, for, at least, quite some time. This rascal is taking benefit of that.
