COAS General Raheel Sharif calls on Russia’s Duma chief; expresses keen interest in choppers & tanks

MOSCOW (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called on the Russian Federation’s Duma State chairman who appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for stability in region and ongoing operation against terrorists.

In a statement, the DG ISPR said that the Duma chief had said that they would stand by Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and extremism for stability in the region.

“Our independent and consistent relations will further grow,” he quoted the Duma chief, as saying.

He said that Pakistan and Russia were taking keen interest in enhancing cooperation in defence.

Meanwhile, COAS General Raheel Sharif visited a defence exhibition and took keen interest in helicopters and tanks.

Decisions pertaining to selection of equipment, their technology, and related procedures are made by
appropriate teams along with diplomatic staff.

Gen Sharif is in Russia for too many days; to just deliberate on contracts.

I am waiting for more details to come to light.

Raheel is very good and future thinking man pakistan should go for better heli like mi 28 and mi 24 cargo heli and airdefence system like s 300 or buk airdefence system ans some btr or bmp
