COAS Gen Raheel Sharif to visit US from November 15

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif will visit United States from 15th to 20th of this month.

According to DG ISPR, the army chief Gen Raheel Sharif will hold meetings with the US military and political leadership. During the visit, situation in Afghanistan and terrorism will be discussed.

The COAS will also visit American Central Command in Tampa and will meet CENTCOM chief General Lloyd J. Osten.

Sources said that the COAS will inform the US Senate Armed Services Committee regarding Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Afghan peace process

I think it ll be more of giving an update on military achievements in FATA and likely Afghan-Pakistan-US future cooperation in the region. Simultaneously, giving a SHUT UP call to US's unending "DO MORE" appetite for the time being ...

It will be a repeat of last year: FATA, Afghanistan, give another dossier about Indian terrorism in Pakistan, beg Congress for CSF money, etc.
