Kind of comes as arrogant. A COAS commands his junior's respect, and leaders aren't supposed to be arrogant, which leads to loss of faith in the leadership at the lower levels.

Also seems as meeting up with civilians wasn't planned in advance; and security detail not briefed on it.

Adding to that the tense situation in Pakistan… he should be under high pressure but still his behaviour against our own jawans is not acceptable for many of us.

1-He is an Army chief not a Political leader meeting people on an occasion like this in such attire. Army chief Should always remain Professional in Public Occasions not a celebrity.

2-He is a very high ranking security official whose life as a person and as his designation is very very important. Considering current situation in Pakistan Such risks should never be taken for high ranking Army Officers. Vultures are everywhere looking for an opportuinity. This better be a setup show not a spontanious act.
