COAS Bajwa visits PLA headquarters, discusses regional security and IOJK

If Pakistan is expecting a Conflict with India, than my bet is that PA is looking for Low/Med Altitude Radars , SPH(?) , SHORAD's (?) , more SD-10/PL-15's .. as Rafi said, on naval side I would expect more Anti-Ship missiles or extended ranges for existing ones.

Sir it was perhaps discussed on same forum that Pak faced some issues with Chinese ground radars, further Pakistan has not so far selected Chinese SPH as Pakistan has already got sufficient numbers of SPH from Italy which are/shall be modernized and integrated in short time span.
Considering Gen Bajwa presence may be PA is searching for latest Shorads, ATGMs and perhaps who knows may be negotiations for VT4 MBT along with improved Z10ME attack helicopter as their is some delay in start of Turkish attack helicopter supplies.

The PN and PAF deals are already done and in progress. If required the people of these arms shall visit China rather than COAS Bajwa.

Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday held high-level meetings with senior members of China’s armed forces as they praised Pakistan’s “principled” and “sane” stance on Kashmir.

Islamabad and Beijing enjoy close defence and strategic ties and China has become the largest arms supplier to Pakistan in recent years. The air force’s JF-17 Thunder aircraft is a good example of the close relations between the two ‘all-weather friends’.

The military’s media wing, in a statement, said the army chief also apprised Chinese military leadership regarding the consequences of the ongoing situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

During the meeting, General Bajwa and China’s military leaders agreed “that continued unresolved Pak-India tensions will have serious implications for peace and stability in the region”.

“COAS apprised them that Pakistan looks forward to peace but that shall not be at the cost [of] any compromise on principles or honour and dignity of the nation,” added the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The army chief further said India needs to respect UN resolutions on Kashmir and ensure the provision of human rights to Kashmiris.

General Bajwa’s met with People’s Liberation Army Commander Army General Han Weiguo and Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) General Xu Qiliang at PLA HQ.

Defence cooperation between the two countries was also discussed. In recent years, Pakistan has looked more towards China for the supply of high-tech defence equipment as Islamabad’s relations with Washington have nosedived, with the US withholding Coalition Support Funds and other defence equipment purchases.

Afghan peace and rising tensions in the Gulf were also discussed during the huddle.

On arrival, the army chief was accorded a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the PLA.

Pakistan really needs to invest in establishing industries, not only for commerce, but also for military. For this Pakistan has to structure core curriculum for graduates in material science, metallurgical studies, environmental sciences, medical science and marine environmental preservation.
It must do as you have said; it is a travesty that educational institutions, sciences, literature and core centers of learnings have eroded ever since I have been following Pak. Can one man make this happen? Possible but there must be a will around him for his supporters to follow through with the vision and not lapse into the laisse a faire attitude 'lets us put in God's hand' - NO, prophets have said time and again, progress and improve lives of all those around us; Educate.

I lament at times, the most beautiful statement is in the Koran - begining verse - 'Read in the name of thy lord'. Just that statement alone states the importance of reading and gaining knowledge.

I digress but i hope fellow pdf members follow where i am going towards.

Have the vision to produce more Abdus Salams that the world gives merit and recognises Pak for its capabilities.

don't hide yourself as Aussie ,This is just Indian propaganda, The factual evidence, both historic and current, suggests that these assertions are simply incorrect. Pakistan was on the FATF grey-list from 2012 to 2015, a period during which it successfully completed an IMF program and raised over $5 billion from the international bond markets. During this period Pakistan’s imports and exports remained stable, evidence that the grey-listing did not raise any significant barriers to trade.Pakistan has survived previous rounds of international pressure and there is scant evidence that the strategic calculus of Pakistan’s security establishment is shifting this time around. You better worry about the Indian economy where your GDP is -2.5 but fake media under Modi Govt claiming 5% GDP and there's no way to survive.
As far as China Trade with India, I think all Indian make mistake here and you don't understand the Chinese thinking, better try to understand them first. Look how china destroying your local markets ;-) factory is in Kalakat, on paper, it is showing boosting the economy and hired 2000 employee but actually, all the material is coming from china and your fake media claiming 5% GDP growth on nothing. Do you think Ikea in Mumbai boosts the economy of the local market or it will destroy it? question of a day for you.
Listen your country fellowmenL ,

Who the hell is he? He is not my fellowmen.

I will sincerely urge my Pakistani mates here that rather than painting someone as Indian/Traitor straightaway, please try to see/listen/read what others (foreign media) say about Pakistan/Pakistani Affair of Things...rather than just blindly follow your controlled/suppressed media which certainly is not 'Free'. Else we'll keep ourselves in delusion the way we have been, for past 73 years. World has moved on....there is no Muslim Ummah, strategic alliances based on religion, foreign policy supporting proxies etc. Come out of it and start working on the uplift of Human Capital... Things will change in next 10 years for good.

On economy, companies like IKEA might be damaging for local traders by stealing their customers, but it source it's material locally(from same traders)....gives employments and creates a brand....and Ikea is just an example...all multinationals do the same. Here we have Westfarmes, Coles, Woolsworth etc which source dairy product from local farmers...that doesn't mean they are destroying them...

you again picking the same line from Indian and western media proganada....you are saying our media is not free, here is a test for you , can you write against of your military who protect you or anywhere in world even in the US not allowed to write against military () but here in Pakistan media write against the military and is okay for you otherwise you labelled as suppressed media but in your western countries is not allowed .why you guys have such a double standard

President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan as soon as PM Nawaz Sharif was elected and gifted Pakistan with a $61 billion CPEC investment.

After three visits by PM Imran Khan to China, President Xi Jinping instead is visiting India and not Pakistan.

Just goes to shows what sort of clowns are in power in Pakistan today.

You may be right, but the difference is in my country New Zealand or US or in European country...there is less to write about their military as they don't poke their nose in every affair of the state. Here the Country is run by Military.
Recent example...despite having a democratically elected government (not literally though), your CAOS has to urge the business men and investors for economic investments, TV annalists are ex generals taking on everything from UN to economy to foreign affairs to state policies to trade, in your talk shows. Delegations to important countries such as US,China have PM/his team Plus CAOS as even those countries know it's futile to talk/get agreement from civil government and assurance from establishment is more trusted... etc.
Do you disagree?

@Pakistan Space Agency Are u really this naive and stupid or are you acting like one? Corrupt politicians are the reasons were are in such bad economic situations. Nawaz and Zardari both lead the battalions of corruption in Pakistan and they are traitors and those supporting these scums are traitors too.
FYI China-India have strong economic relation which are more than 70 billions. Get your mind of gutter and start to think with your head instead of kemma naan and briyani.

According to Chinese news agency Xinhua, Xu Qiliang, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, said that China is willing to keep advancing the ties between China and Pakistan and their militaries.

Xu made the remarks while meeting Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The friendship between the two countries has weathered the changing international landscape and stayed rock-solid, he said.

China is willing to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen pragmatic cooperation with Pakistan in various fields and deal with risks and challenges together with Pakistan, according to Xu.

Bajwa delivered his congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and said the Pakistani military is willing to strengthen strategic communication and pragmatic cooperation with the Chinese military, so as to make contributions to safeguarding regional peace and stability.
