COAS visits tomb of unknown soldier

MOSCOW: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on the first day of his visit to Moscow visited the tomb of unknown soldier at Kremlin to lay a wreath here on Thursday .

The commander in Chief Ground Forces Colonel General Vladimir Chrikin received him, ISPR reported here.

The COAS laid the wreath and after that the Russian band played Pakistani National Anthem.

A smartly turned out contingent presented Guard of Honour.

The COAS also viewed the march past of the smart contingent.

If I'm not wrong COAS visited Russia in 2009 also. What was the outcome of that visit?

Why is he carrying that bamboo stick with him all the time..?It dont look cool even as a ceremonial weapon..

in whole pic you got only stick for comment that he is not looking good?:rofl: next indian will ask who press his uniform its not look like good pressed :P

Gen. Kayani, Gen. Makarov discuss bilateral defence cooperation in Moscow

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani called on Chief of General Staff (CGS) Russian Federation Armed Forces General Makarov in the Ministry of Defence in Moscow and held a detailed discussion on bilateral defence cooperation.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Friday, the Russian Army Chief of General Staff (CGS) was assisted by Deputy Chief of General Staff (DCGS) of Russian Federation Armed Forces Colonel General, Postnikov, Ground Forces Col Gen Postnikov and Ground Forces Commander, Colonel General Chirkin.

Gen Makarov welcomed the COAS and specially showed his desire to cooperate in all fields with Pakistan Armed forces.
