Israel truly is Sparta of the modern world. It would definitely be good to have them by our side. Now the scenario has become something like 300 with the persians being f**(ked from both the sides. From that side Israel and from this side, India. And we all know who Persia is!

Yeah it is good for establishing relationships but against jihad, it is very weak, partisan and fractured. However, politically we prefer having friends first rather than counting enemies.

Korea has a strong military but they have too much to loose. N Korea is no joke with the possible nuclear weapons and means to deliver them to south Korea. Their military is mostly designed to be defensive, ie even their personal assault rifles are designed to be used by conscript soldiers with ease. Keeping that in mind, South Korea can economically pressure other nations, but other then that the Koreans will stay out of military posturing. Japan can and most likely will be a different issue. They most likely will posture their navy aggressively on these Sparta Islands. Why? Because they have the most powerful navy in Asia aside for the USN Pacific fleet.
On topic, I believe India and Israel have mutual interests but these warming relations are due to the fact Israel needs India. Potentially India is or will be a regional power. A fact proven IMO when Bangladesh became independent. Israels offer to India is collaboration in defense technology and tactics. Now who wouldn't want that? But as far as R&D the Israelis are going have no choice but to tangle with foreign collaboration like they did with US, this is due to the budget and inflation costs of R&D today.
For Israel, India is a big market, and weapons that Israel designed fit with India's military concepts except the Markeva tank and others.
