Oh..it's all Punjabi Jaat/Jatt thing even back in the 60's. What is missed are the old Urdu/Hindustani movies which were good.

Maybe I have missed them. Watched many old (from 70'-80's-90's) bolly movies on tv channels and don't remember much of punjabi like its now. Can't remember any famous punjabi song from that era. Even that yamla jatt song only have 1 line in punjabi.

Its business stupid. A flurry of Pakistani movies was released off late but NONE could do any amount of respectable business. A cinema owner needs filled halls at the end of the day. Patriotism prevails till the belly is full. Its ironic but only obvious that stomach prevails over everything and existence triumphs.

Your Neighbour runs a business which makes up 70% of your business and your contribution makes about lets say 5-10% of his business... He is an narrow minded a**hole and considers himself the champion of the locality. Recently you have started improving your residential compound which has enraged him and he has started killing your children and lets his dogs loose whenever your siblings even cross the road....
Choice is yours, either separate your family life from your business life or stop supporting his business and live on your meager earnings while striving for better and other options.
while you answer this do give a thought to the people who have lost a loved one the heinous acts committed by Indian army at LOC. One needs to be logical but not to the extent of clear apathy.

Probably you should take a course of making the cinema owners understand that weirdo thing, or like I said before start giving them that business for which they have to look towards the cocky neighbor you're referring to.Start making movies that can compete with the competitors, start going to cinema to watch these movies instead of buying tickets for Indian movies. Indian movies are being screened because People watch it. So rather than hurling conspiracies all around, look inward and confront your own daemon. Rest business is business for the rest of the world. ISIS and Asad Regime fight like rabid dogs but Regime buys oils from the rigs controlled by the ISIS. People don't really give a shit when its about money.

I think the Ban should continue and if needed perhaps focus should be on imported movies from

Older Audience Movies
a) Hollywood
b) Hong Kong / China or may be even Asia (Fight / Action movies)
c) Turkey, Egypt , Iran

Family Movies
a) Ample movies made by Disney
b) Ample movies made by Third party movie makers
c) Animated movies for kids

Pakistani Documentary Movies:
a) Lower ticket charge but would attract Educated mature audience


Dubbed or Translated copies in Urdu

There is no shortage of good movie maker don't need to "Thook ker chat liya" attitude
Combined with Movies being made locally that is enough material for Movie goers

• Cinema Owners can Buy songs from Pakistani Song Artist or SIngers , and play their performance before the start of movie , or mid point (interval) or end of movie 2-3 songs by Pakistani artist and that should give ample Entertainment

Put the Pakistani Band songs in Cinema on big screen for some Entertainment with Foreign Movies (Entertainment hi Entertainment)

I am sure movies can be dubbed , giving more jobs to Local Pakistani actors for voice acting however plain Urdu Text translation on movie is also sufficient.

Let people decide what they want to watch. Indian culture is much more common to Pakistani than Turkic/ Chinese that is the reason for popularity.

Display of Indian garbage in cinema is anti moral booster for Troops
How would it feel to folks on LOC if they come back from their duty on border to see their kids or family members or friends going to Cinema to watch Indian garbage

This shiat has to stop

Cinema owners should buy international Lincence for Movies like rest of world form Hollywood or other countries if there is shortage of movies from Pakistan

The Shoratge can only be overcome by Funding from Government & also Participation from TV channels to force them to make 4-5 movies a year (Which they can show on Cinema and then later 2-3 years on TV on prime time)


We have 40-50 TV channel with licence in Pakistan make it mandatory for these channels to sponsor 4-5 movies per year from each channel and we will get good
50 x 5 = 250 movies per year

250-300 Movie production per year is enough entermainment and Job creation for actor and writer and producers

Make one movie and dub it in regional languages


The movie trend is made by constant production of 250-300 movies each year not just 1-10 movies made and released small market section.


If 2-3 Movies are made each year of course no actor or actress or movie writer or story maker would emerge , but if 250-300 movies are made then yes slowly actors would start to emerge
