All I'm saying is that many of these religious groups (note this comes from a political/relgious activist group's head, not a random citizen) do have a long history of sensationalism and not to forget fanaticism.

The police should take it very seriously and do treat it as a militant threat.

I would call that as an act of desperation, in a very hostile envionment. A priest committing suicide, Go think about why he would it.

So the Tamil tigers are religious fanatics as well? They were the first to institute suicide bombing in the latter half of the 20th century.

Most of the attackers in Beslan and also in the theatre attack (both in Russia) were "Black widows" the women whose husbands had been killed, murdered or "disappeared" by the Russians in the Chechnya war. Was that about religion or vengeance?

I think you will find that the Russians and Bosnians for that matter were never really known for their religious fervour. It was only when they were persecuted for BEING Muslims does this fervour come out.

If you don't have armies and tanks and multi-million dollar airplanes and want vengeance for the hurt and pain and death that was caused simply because you follow a religion in name. You will want to strike back in any way possible.

Simply put you can't use suicide as a frustration as a weapon against muslims and then say the opposite when they use the same frustration as a reason.
