Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh integral part of India: Chakma bodies of Tripura

Dude BD has one real country to counter and that is India.
Myanmar is a little joke.
You have 3 and one will soon become a superpower - you will be totally crushed like throughout history.
At this point, we cannot fight neither Myanmar nor India. We don't have good equipment to begin with. Most of our weapons are Chinese made. The equipment of the Indian army and air force, on the other hand, are better both quantity and quality wise. Our air force is way behind in every sense. We only have some Chengdu j7 fighters and some Mig 29 fighters as principle combat aircrafts. We also have a small inventory of attack helicopters. Our army should be developed too. We have a small inventory of Chinese made tanks, howitzers, artilleries and poorly equipped SAMs. Yes we have a well trained military but in this age wars are won by quality weapons not just the quality of personnel alone.

Please don't be sentimental(hujugi) and try to be realistic. We can't beat India, at least not in next 10 years. Those who are talking about the 2001 Roumari conflict should remember that it was a scuffle between BSF and BDR and not the army. However we can fight Myanmar, we have the capability but we still need to strengthen our military, especially our air force which is seriously lagging behind.

You may be a BAL supporter, or a ultra nationalist but this is the hard truth.

No, it was a mix of 400 IA and BSF troops that entered and attacked the BDR border outpost (BoP) and another 400 were waiting just at the border. You do not say it was a scuffle. Although 16 of them were shown killed, the actual figure is 93 killed and wounded. Other than 16, all others were carried away by the Indian troops.

It is certainly not that this small war shows we can fight against Indian too large military. However, if a war is imposed, it will be quite difficult for IA troops to finally win because of popular resistance from all levels except probably a few BAL topnotch.

There is also a factor that must be considered. It is, can India afford to vacate its western front and make an all-out offensive war? Moreover, India wants a peaceful border along BD. Goodwill from both sides is needed for our own development.

People of Bangladesh may hate or like India but at the end of the day our country is covered from 3 sides by them. Although we should not let India dominate us, we also cannot make them angry. Bangladeshis may support China, Pakistan and other anti Indian nations, but at the end of the day they will never come to help us because of our complicated geography. Geopolitics seriously matters when deciding your allies and enemies and so we have to keep friendly relationship with India whether we like it or not.
