What's new

chinese withdrawal

^The Indian media used the territory term to build pressure on GOI, nothing more.
the policy has seen no changes, rather chinese were given a few words to give them some dignity.

The problem is that before the Indians claimed that the area was Indian territory, no compromise, but by agreeing to a MUTUAL withdrawal, instead of an after-withdrawal withdrawal, they've said that the area is now considered disputed territory.

That's one hell of a change of policy, because it may look good for India in the short term, but in the long term the Chinese may use this against India.
lol. at your knowledge
India always believed that area was disputed. i was china who solely beleives that the area was of china and not disputed. it is india who is going to use this instance in future

By the way, don't forget to vote for Congress!

And why would we take lessons on voting from a chinese? What would you know about it?

Will you ever get the priviledge to do that in your life? Last time your people asked for the right to vote their leaders, hongwu's armoured division mowed them down in tiananmen square.

I wouldn't talk about voting if I were you.

Go Chinese!!! :woot:
We want Chinese to take back their rightful land!!!
Make Ladakh have same fate as Aksai Chin!!

It's confirmed...

Ladakh stand-off ends as China agrees to pull out troops - The Times of India

Did India make a deal?

The Chinese had been insisting that India dismantle its security and monitoring posts built in Chumar and other areas. India had resisted this because Chumar is considered to have strategic significance , particularly since Indian soldiers can monitor troop movements across the Line of Actual Control from there.

Before the news of the troops withdrawing was announced, some sources had said India might agree to remove some of the structures as "a face saver" to enable the Chinese troops to withdraw to their pre-April 15 positions. Analysts said if the Indian government had indeed agreed to make a deal with the Chinese, this kind of incursion would be repeated over and over again.

The Chinese intransigence had created a political problem with memories of the 1962 war and India's humiliating defeat by China playing in everyone's minds. Both the ruling Congress party and the opposition had asked for Khurshid's visit to be cancelled after Chinese troops refused to withdraw despite three flag meetings with the Indian side.

Now we know whenever we want India give something up, simply do an incursion and then GOI will have to capitulate.

can some one post the significance of the details of this deal between China viz-a-viz India

Now the whole world knows which country's people are full of hot air. Those are just a handful of brainf@rts by him. Not counting innumerable other similar posts by @Psyops and @Speeder 2 (the high iq troll).

Bluster and bombast, boasting and baloney. Paper tigers that dare not fight. This is why the west believes that for all their shows and parades and carefully choreographed displays, their soldiers are only good for that - marching in displays for their dear leaders and other rulers to enjoy.

No other country's people come on this forum and pass so much hot air about "we will do this, we will do that" as chinese do. And what happens on the ground? As soon as they see the enemy forces, they pack their bags and go home to practise for the next year's marching display. The poor pakistanis who thanked all those posts must be banging their heads on the wall. Big daddy didn't take on India, so now who?

Jeff Schweitzer: China: Asia's Toothless Paper Tiger

Paper Tiger : Why isn't the rest of asia afraid of china?

Umm... we're full of hot air because our soldiers came 20 km in your territory for several weeks, and then both sides withdrew?

Why would you withdraw when you are already 20 km into your own territory?

As for paper tigers who don't dare fight, well if our troops really were 20 km into Indian territory for several weeks, why didn't you shoot the intruders?

Whatever be the case of perception of LoAC or withdrawal of the forces (on both sides). What the Chinese have learnt in a very tactical way is how prepared the Indians are. It is like Chinese martial arts. First you make a move of hints, see how the opponent reacts, judge and anticipate his (opponents) moves, use it to your advantage. And when final blows are required to be given, you take all the advantages of observation to your offensive moves.

For past few weeks it was DOB. Perhaps somewhere along the entire length of the border, something else is being designed. We will never know. What takeaway from this episode we (India) have now, is anyone's imagination. I just hope lessons learnt on our side are not dismissed in political quagmire. A diplomatic victory is something both nations may want to claim. What has prevailed is (PEACE) at least for the time being.

Chinese really learn lessons from Indian voting, that stop China go to voting system when every one is poor and people without foundation of democracy; Two ways:
1. Lay a solid basis of democracy, and then the implementation of the democratic system(Such as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China)
2.First take the implementation of the democratic system, then gradually meet the foundation of democracy.
The foundation of democracy: Thinking of democracy, democratic culture, system program; Lack any one is hard to enter a real democratic society, even odopt the voting system, Society will also fall prey democratic abyss of disaster.

Bad news for HongWu, Psyops, and other Pakistani fanboys of China
It's great news to force India to capitulate and carve away territory. Or did you really think India is shupa-powa?

No, (some of) you are full of hot air for the bombastic claims you make here, about armoured divisions and megaton rockets.

I remember on some pages, expectant pakistanis were going on asking hongwu for status updates (unaware of his own status as a comedian on the forum), and he was going on feeding them "inside news" from "chinese military forums" about an armoured division being sent into ladakh, and heavy earth moving equipment and an engineering brigade arriving there to set up a permanent army base, etc etc. Indians were watching that exchange in amusement, knowing that pretty soon the poor pakistanis devouring those lies in glee were in for a hard dose of sobering reality.

Now that the 40 odd soldiers have gone back, how should we describe all those statements from hongwu and his ilk? (He wasn't the only one, there were plenty of other forumers with chinese flags who put our similar statements.) Do you have a better phrase than "hot air" to describe their words?

About the withdrawal : Indian forces were not present at that particular point anyway. They set up camp onlyAFTER the chinese intrusion was detected. They are both going back to the positions ante. India is not withdrawing from ladakh, or even from the daulat beg oldi sector, but only from the pitched tents they put up in the past two weeks. The place has always been no man's land, and so shall it remain. That is the story of most bits of land along the LAC - claimed by both sides, occupied by none.

As to why we did not shoot the invaders - because that would have set off a war, and India had the good sense to avoid that if possible. It was possible to avoid it, as it turns out. If our diplomats in black suits can make the soldiers go back, then it is a better option than our soldiers in fatigues doing it. We avoided war and bloodshed, without compromising on the sanctity of the motherland. Solving issues on the bargaining table by making the opponent see reason may not give as much an ego boost to forumers as watching helicopter gunships and tanks doing it, but mature nation states know the value of peace, especially when it doesn't compromise on the safety, security or welfare of the motherland.

Exactly. When reading these forums, it seems as if warmongering has become a virtue and seeking peace has become a weakness.

This is an issue of differences in perceptions on the LAC. Which everyone already knew.

But when the media starts screaming about how "Chinese troops are 20 km into Indian territory" (even though they already knew the border is not demarcated) then you'll end up getting a lot of warmongering statements from the members here, not only from our side but plenty of Indian members like timetravel and 3idiots claiming that India would use missiles to attack the Chinese soldiers.

At the end of the day, seeking peace and stability is a great virtue.
