chinese withdrawal

I'm talking about the Indians on this forum declaring victory, even though the Indian side withdrew as well.

I've seen the Indian media reporting over this incident and they've gone crazy attacking themselves and the Indian lack of response rather than anything else.

The International media hasn't been interested in this issue, and the Chinese media hasn't been interested in this issue.

The only thing left to question now is whether India ever actually believed we were 20 km into Indian territory, since this withdrawal suggests otherwise.

I dont think anyone takes this as a victory.... It is no loss no victory for both countries.... then the response of indians in this thread...... It is basically a response to trolling by few chinese members (there are few sane members like you) and some bd and pak members.....I am sure you must have seen few threads and the taunts by few members....

The issue here everyone knows it is a disputed boarder with both countries not agreeing to each others line....

let me reply you nicely, yes we believe that you were inside Indian territory.China never had those regions..Tibet doesn't belong to you and not only those areas, but a lot of other areas as well belongs to Imperial state of Kashmir, which later ceded into India.so,those areas are indian teritorry.but you know,as those areas were barren lands and nobody(both kashmir stae and Tibet) bothered to demarcate them properly,we're in a fix.and you are saying Indian troops withdrew as well, well, why would we post our soldiers middle of nowhere??we just patrol those areas, just like other border areas as well.do you expect we build and maintain tents everywhere??those soldiers went back to base as usual.

If you truly believed we were 20 km inside Indian territory for weeks, and that both sides have now withdrawn, how can that possibly be a victory?

How can anyone withdraw even after being 20 km in their own territory?

This makes me think that India actually agrees with the Chinese position that we were on our side of the LAC all along, and that contrary to the claims of the Indian government, DBO is actually within the disputed region.

Previously the Indian government claimed that DBO was not in the disputed region, and was 20 km into undisputed Indian territory. But the fact that they have withdrawn as well suggests that they now agree with the Chinese view that DBO is a part of the disputed region.

:omghaha: :omghaha: :omghaha:

China did wham-bam on India and walked away having gotton what we wanted.

End to Indo-China face-off in sight

The two sides are expected to arrive at an agreement with New Delhi thinking about agreeing to go slow on construction of bunkers in the disputed area and Beijing reciprocating by pulling back its troops to their original position across the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

How many times do you need to be told the same thing?

Its an Indian victory in the same sense as Kargil war.... yes, we kicked out Pak intruders them, from our own territory even then.

Still it was a victory.

This was a nano-Kargil ... but nonetheless a victory. And we won it without firing a bullet.

Simultaneous withdrawal means that both tents are withdrawan ... India too set up a tent (or tents, whatever) about 300 meters from chinese incursion. Simultaneous withdrawal is a euphemism, to give the chinese a face saver.

Its a reversion to status quo ante .. as it existed prior to April 15.

The thing is chinese troops can't cross the LAC again - and if they do will be construed as an intrusion and the border guards will escort them back to their side of the borders - you went back where you came from - you withdrew from your intrusion - plain and simple.

okay guys....we both chinese and Indians can be friends now....no more bashing!!!

is that some kind of comprehension problem???let me repeat you,INDIA DOESN'T POST ITBP AND ARMY AT THE BORDER.we patrol those areas and thats it.there is no base,no bunker, nothing.so,our troops went back to the base from where they came from.and your troops at their base.and as both agreed about status quo, that area remained Indian territory..is it too hard to understand??do you really believe that our troops seat at the very border and yet Chinese troops came bypassing them??I think you should sometime visit those areas, you might understand about the harsh reality.there is practically nothing both some barren lands at the height of 17000 ft.
