Chinese troops enter Indian territory; dismantle bunkers

Times of India says otherwise ... For obvious reasons , the army will deny that if it even happened

And the Government should listen to TOI rather than the Army? Well, that's not how we do things around here.

You wouldn't have asked that question if you scrolled back a few pages ... Ask your army if it has control of these areas
The SDM contended that it was another attempt by the Chinese to claim the territory as disputed in the same fashion as they had taken Nag Tsang area opposite to Phuktse airfield in 1984, Nakung in 1991 and Lungma-Serding in 1992.

Have you ever heard that Dont believe anything until its officially denied ? Besides TOI , this news was everywhere ... How can someone possibly deny that ? :hitwall:

.
india/indians need such "news".

they need to get some excuse for the failure of their nation. now they can at least say "see, we have a powerful enemy at our door step causing all these troubles, how can we focus on development? "

The simple question is that Whats the response of Government of India ? Dismissing these reports wont bring those areas back ! Would it ?

What I don't understand is why are you breaking your head on a wall for it,strange indeed but appreciate the concern nonetheless.

I,for one, regardless of the veracity of claims,am overjoyed at the current stand of issues. The Government is finally busting big bucks to cut roads across the valley for the facilitation of tanks and artillery, airbases are getting completed on time, modernization plans are aplenty and massive purchases are being accelerated which is exactly what we need internally as well as externally.

Simple smiley it is ... What i am trying to say that Ignorance is bliss ! The same news was confirmed in briefings to army commanders but for obvious reasons not told to the public ... There will be outrage ...

At a recent meeting in Leh, attended by officials from the Jammu and Kashmir government, Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Army, it was agreed that there was difference in the maps of various agencies and that there was lack of proper mapping of the area.

The meeting was chaired by Commissioner (Leh) A K Sahu and attended, among others, by the 14 Corps Brigadier General Staff Brig Sarat Chand and Colonel Inderjit Singh.
While the absence of proper maps was agreed upon, the meeting all the same felt: “However, it is clear and accepted that we are withdrawing from LAC and our area has shrunk over a period of time. This process is very slow but we have lost substantial amount of land in 20-25 years.”

.
China has done the same thing by building infrastructure along the border since 1980 ... You are late once again !
