Chinese troops enter 25 km deep into Indian territory: Sources

.
you will get showered with indian sweets.

That still counts as a first strike. :cheesy:

And we have the world's largest arsenal of sub strategic (non-nuclear) missiles, including thousands of conventional ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and rocket artillery. Most of them are currently pointed at Taiwan, but they are road mobile and can easily be relocated. These can take out all of India's airfields in the region, with plenty to spare, rendering their NE without any air cover. Against a vastly more powerful Chinese air force.

The range is in our favor too, New Delhi is only 300 km away from our border, close enough for even conventional rocket artillery.

And our vastly superior border infrastructure will allow us to concentrate our forces at any point along the LAC with overwhelming numbers and speed compared to the other side. Whereas India (for their own reasons) have greatly neglected their border infrastructure and equipment, including basic artillery.

Surely Modi will understand all this.

It is likely that one of our neighbors will fire on us first, absolving us of the responsibility of starting a war. I think Modi is smart enough to avoid it, Aquino on the other hand...

Maybe that's exactly what we are waiting for? :azn:

That's why it's always better to have a massive conventional advantage.

If others shoot first, that absolves us of responsibility for starting a war. Everyone will see it was not us that shot first.

You do not have enough to win against India in an offensive role, come out of your delusions.

And also be clear about exactly what you want with India, economic cooperation or war? I am personally against both, but we are capable of both.

.
It happens when you have faulty maps no biggie, the issue will be resolved soon peacefully

When you have disputed area with a large enemy and you know what they are capable of... and yet you have faulty maps...:what::what::what: i don't understand it. No offense mate its clearly showing that you are not capable of defending your borders.

You know New Delhi is only 300 km from the border? Well within range of even our conventional rocket artillery?

Not to mention the fact that we have the world's largest arsenal of sub strategic (non-nuclear) missiles?

You know even the Indian Army itself admitted that they could not possibly match China, and that the gap was "growing larger every day"? They are not just talking about border infrastructure or weapons platforms, they are talking about everything, as they made clear.

India has a "no first use" policy, same as us. The difference is we can target your capital with even conventional weapons.

What we want is described in our official policy, and that is "China's peaceful rise".

But that does not mean we will sit back and let other nations hit us without fighting back, on the contrary, any nation that hits us first will come under overwhelming attack from everything we have.

And since we did not hit first, we will have full justification for an overwhelming retaliation. We have no need to hit first, we can simply wait until someone gets an itchy trigger finger.

Now, any country can avoid all that, simply by exercising some self-control. But self-control is in very short supply in South Asian borders. Even our spats in the South China sea only ever end up using water cannons, no bullets or beheading as is common on South Asian borders.

Ok we are not capable of defending our borders but here some are not capable of defending whole country which allows others to bomb itself.

No. Like I said, our policy is "China's peaceful rise".

But we are ready for war anytime, if anyone has the nerve to attack us first. Like Nehru once did with his Forward policy.

We seek peace, but are prepared for war as well.

NEW DELHI: Incidents of Chinese troops crossing over to the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) may be getting reported from time to time. But as far as the government is concerned, there has not been a single intrusion by People's Liberation Army (PLA) personnel since 2010.

The union home ministry, in reply to a Parliament question last week, chose to play down the reported incursions by Chinese troops, describing them only as "transgressions". In fact, the total 1,612 "transgressions" between January 1, 2010 and August 4, 2014 were attributed to a mere difference in perception of the LAC between the two sides.

"No intrusion has been reported or taken place on India-China border, including Sikkim, during the last five years, However, there are cases of transgression due to difference of perception of the Line of Actual Control (LAC)," Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju stated in a written reply on August 13 to a question from Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Lal Panchariya.

Explaining the difference between intrusion and transgression, a Union home ministry official said that while intrusion would mean that the Chinese troops crossed over to Indian side of the LAC and stayed put, transgression implied that they had entered Indian territory only to eventually retreat to the Chinese side.

Giving details of the "transgressions" by PLA troops on the India-China border since 2010, Rijiju said as many as 334 cases had taken place this year until August 4, as compared to 411 in the whole of 2013, 426 in 2012, 213 in 2011 and 228 in 2010. A senior home ministry official told TOI that going by the 334 transgressions reported until August 4, there was every likelihood of the 2014 figure surpassing the levels seen in 2013 and even 2012.

Answering a related query - asked as part of the same question - regarding frequent intrusions by the Chinese Army into Sikkim region, the government said the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the force deployed on the India-China border, had reported a transgression in Dorjila in 2013 and another in Naku area in 2014.

No Chinese intrusion since 2010, only ‘transgressions': Government - The Economic Times

It's basically a difference in perception about the LAC. Not a single bullet has been fired in decades.

Quite the affront!!! They keep getting more and more audacious. smashing surveillance equipment, removing indian flags and knocking down posts --- symbolic and in the literal sense

where's the bingo jingo language from modi and their brilliant new army chief - who wears the mickey mouse looking hat

Modi is one in the favor of revising first use policy

secondly do you think china wants to open this front ? where it earns the most ??
$100 billion plus trade

what conventional weapons would you use ? tanks are a no-go ! it would be fight on foot!

What we want is described in our official policy, and that is "China's peaceful rise"..
intrusions by PLA says otherwise
it states two thing ... either china is creating a delusion about peaceful rise or PLA is not under centre's control
